Pet care experience
I started taking care of dogs/cats when I was 11, & have been dog/cat sitting through Rover since August 2021! Being away from my family golden retriever, Maggie, it's been wonderful to spend time with other pups & both understand & give unconditional love to them while also getting to know their owners! I think we can learn so much from our pets, & I can't wait to get to know yours, help them feel as happy as possible while you're away, and help them enjoy all the wonderful little things in life!

Caroline is great! Very communicative and my dog loves her!
Caroline recently babysat and house sat for our 10 year old vizsla. She did an amazing job! She did all of the things I asked her to do besides the obvious food and water. Caroline was wonderful about getting our dog exercise which is one of my main concerns. She would send me cute pictures of she and our dog out on the trails and cuddled up at home. Our dog has a lot of anxiety so we can tell when someone has really taken excellent care of her or just done the bare minimum- Caroline gave her LOTS of love and care and it showed!! Our dog was perfectly content when we arrived home from our trip. We will definitely have Caroline dog sit again!
Caroline is a great communicator and took very good care of my home and pets! I'll definitely ask her to house-sit again in the future.
Caroline housesat and took care of our 2 cats for 3 weeks. She did an excellent job. She was reliable, communicated well over the many details involved in housesitting, and tended to our kitties' needs very well. We will be requesting her again.

Especially when house sitting, I prioritize spending as much time with your pet as possible! Although animals may think a little bit differently from us humans, I really try to understand what dogs/cats are feeling & make sure their needs are always met - whether they need an extra walk to get some energy out, or just want some love & pets. It's also important to me that we communicate as much or as little as you would like about how your pet's doing & our time together!

I think it's really important to understand how your pet interacts with other dogs & people, any medical needs they have, what they're scared of, & what comforts then. Knowing a bit about their general personality would be wonderful!
A typical day
Going on daily walks/hikes, enjoying being outside, playing with toys or throwing the ball, snuggling, & even just reading together are a few of the ways I love to spend time with dogs/cats!

Availability
I'm currently majoring in Environmental Studies & part-time ski instruct! My classes are typically 9am-2:30pm, although I'm often able to drop-by during that time if needed. I also usually spend school breaks in Victor, ID where I have family & also ski instruct, & would love to help out with your pets over holidays!
