Pet care experience
I have taken care of my family’s pets since I was little, and I also have been watching other pets in my hometown since I was 13 (six years). I have done everything from staying over the animals to just walking them during the day. Currently, I am a second year vet student at University College of Dublin. I have worked in a veterinary clinic during the summers and have shadowed at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. Over the course of 19 years I have interacted with and taken care of many different types of animals including dogs, cats, birds, fish, deer, turkeys, hedgehogs, and even a tiger (at the vet school). My main goal when taking care of animals is that they feel safe, happy, and loved. I adore all animals no matter the size, and I always love making new furry friends!

Caroline did a fantastic job watching our nearly 2-year-old Lab, who still very much acts like a puppy. She was communicative the whole weekend and took excellent care of our girl. I would absolutely recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a sitter!
Caroline did an AMAZING job watching all of our dogs this weekend while we were out of town. She is always on time, responsible, and sends us pictures/videos of our fur babies the whole time. I would highly recommend her as dog sitter for any type of dog(s)!!

In the clients home I always make sure to ask the owner about how they normally do everyday tasks with their dog, such as they just leave the doggy door open and he/she has a fenced in yard or it’s necessary to put on a leash to go in the yard or go for a walk. I try to stick with what the animal is used to so they are as comfortable as they can be.

Before accepting a job, I would like to know of any daily medications or health requirements your pet might have just so I can be prepared to watch/walk them properly. I have no breed preferences at all. I love them all!
A typical day
I love playing with the dogs in pretty much anyway. Whether that’s throwing a ball in the backyard, going on walks, or tug of war inside. I think what’s important is that the dog (or cat) is happy and doing what they love to do.

I’ve had pet care in my daily routine for my entire life. My family has always had at least one dog but usually more. And since starting on the path to becoming a veterinarian I have started seeing pet care in new ways that are more tailored towards the animals health while I’m learning how to care for them even better.
