Pet care experience
I’ve had a passion for animals since I was a child. Growing up in the country I started out rescuing animals. From wild bunnies with broken legs to stray dogs and cats that needed a home. This quickly turned into a career in animal care. Before moving away to college to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine I worked in a rural animal shelter. I took care of the kennels including exercising, feeding, and training in preparation for the animals new homes. After moving I then began to work in a vet’s office. While working there I was responsible for all the boarding animals and kennels. At any one time I cared for 20-40 animals including cats and dogs. I was responsible for all medication administration as well as all caretaking. I own two dogs of my own and will treat your animals the same as I do mine. With love and care. I specialize in special needs animals. From round the clock monitoring to medication and special activities I will make it happen. I provide mental and physical stimulation from puzzles to training during my house sitting appointments.

Caroline is a gem!! She took care of our beloved German Shepherd and home while we traveled for an extended period. Our dog is extremely anxious and he felt right at home with Caroline. She gave us plenty of updates and managed all of the household items while we were away. We returned home to a cleaner home than we left it and a freshly made bed. I can accommodate most needs including seniors and puppies. When watching your animals in your home I will always strive to go above and beyond. As a licensed real estate agent and property manager I am an experienced caretaker of homes. Tell me the rules and go enjoy your trip with the knowledge your pets and home are well cared for. While staying in your home I will maintain it how you would like me to. That can include but is not exclusive to; grabbing the mail, taking out the garbage, washing the bed linens, mopping the floors and making sure your home is in the same or better condition than it was when I arrived. I send multiple pictures every day to ensure you can see your little ones having fun. You’ll be updated (at your frequency preference) of the daily activities and behaviors of your little ones.

I would like to know everything. When watching your pets I will stick as closely to their regular schedule and behaviors as possible. What are their favorite treats, what’s their signal to go outside, what’s their favorite activity, etc. I schedule meet and greets for all new clients to ensure we are a good fit. During a meet and greet you can always expect me to ask for you to walk me through a normal day. I find animals are the most comfortable in their own home sticking to their usual schedule with some new fun activities.
A typical day
I love to set up activities specific to your pet. My most frequent client is a deaf and blind pup who thrives at puzzles and scent work. A tired dog is a happy dog!
