I have volunteered at an animal shelter for a year now and have engaged with various types of dogs and cats. I was taught in dog behavior and know how to effectively walk dogs on a leash. I was taught the different signs and behaviors dogs show and how to interpret each one. I have a doberman puppy and taught him obedience and how to walk on a leash. Working with dogs is similar to working with humans; every dog is different and have differing energies and I love observing and learning from them. Volunteering at the animal shelter and having a dog of my own taught me that dogs communicate with us using their own language; and it's our job to understand exactly what they're saying.
