West Coast Collie & Sheltie Rescue is located in Southern Oregon on nineteen beautiful, secluded and private acres. We have a very easy location to find, and we're less than seven minutes from the I-5 Interchange in Canyonville and less than ten minutes from Seven Feather's Casino. UPDATE TO DROP OFF AND PICKUP REQUIREMENTS: DROP OFF AND PICKUP TIMES ARE BETWEEN NOON AND 6 PM. THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $25 FEE TO DROP OFF PETS EARLIER OR LATER THAN THE SET HOURS. THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $10 CHARGE PER DAY PER PET WHO REQUIRES SPECIAL CARE SUCH AS ELDERLY PETS, INCONTINENT PETS, PUPPIES WHO AREN'T HOUSEBROKEN, OR PETS NEEDING TO HAVE A SPECIALLY PREPARED DIET. PETS NEEDING TO HAVE MEDICATION ADMINISTERED WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $5 PER DAY CHARGE. ALL SPECIAL NEEDS OR BEHAVIORAL ISSUES NEED TO BE DISCLOSED AND DISCUSSED PRIOR TO BOOKING THE BOARDING. ALL PETS MUST BE IN GOOD HEALTH AND CURRENT ON THEIR VACCINATIONS AND THEY MUST BE WORMED AND ON A FLEA AND TICK PREVENTATIVE PRIOR TO BEING BOARDED AT MY FACILITY. DOGS WHO ATTEND DOGGIE DAY CARE OR WHO SPEND TIME AROUND OTHER DOGS MUST BE VACCINATED AGAINST CANINE INFLUENZA H3N2 & H3N8 AT LEAST A MONTH PRIOR TO BOARDING. Vaccinations I require for dogs: RABIES, BORDETELLA (KENNEL COUGH), AND DHPPL (PARVO, DISTEMPER, LEPTO). Vaccinations I require for cats: FeLv Vaccine, rabies. I NEED COPIES OF YOUR PET'S VACCINATION RECORDS AND RABIES CERTIFICATE PRIOR TO BOARDING. NO AGGRESSIVE PETS PLEASE. I am set up to care for both dogs and cats at my facility. THE FEE TO BOARD A CAT IS $20 A DAY. I can also visit your pets at your home while you’re away. Care for livestock will have an additional fee that we can discuss. Travel costs depend upon where you live. Please see my "Services Offered" page for mileage fees. I am not able to provide overnight pet care at your home at this time. My facility has three large fenced dog areas and four covered dog runs. Our days start with outdoor playtime in the morning, breakfast around 10 AM, followed by quiet time. Afternoons are a combination of more outdoor playtime, baths or swimming if it's warm enough, a short training session, walks down my driveway, and ball chasing down my long hallway. Dinner is around 8 PM followed by quiet time, grooming, and TV watching while hanging out together in my living room. Bedtime is between midnight and 1 AM. The dogs sleep inside my home in crates in my living room, or on a dog bed in my utility room. If I'm caring for a cat, it will be housed in a large cat cage ( 6' hight by 3' wide by 2 ' deep) away from the dogs. I run a dog rescue and a purebred dog placement company out of my home which is located in Riddle, Oregon. I have over 36 years of experience owning and rescuing dogs and cats. Pets are my life and I would love to have your pet come for a visit, or to stop by your home to check on your pets while you are away. I offer a 5% multi pet discount for overnight boarding for three or more pets staying more than two nights and a 5% extended stay discount for an overnight boarding of ten days or longer.
