Pet care experience
I have had dogs & cats in my life since childhood. A parakeet too! I know how close we become to our pets & how important good care is. I have 2 dogs of my own & have devoted myself to giving them the best life possible. I am newly retired so have lots of time to take care of your beloved pets. I love walking & playing with dogs in all kinds of weather. I will take great care of your pets at your home, following your instructions making sure they are happy & safe. We will have fun.

I highly recommend Carol to care for dogs, children, any animal actually! I know she is my sister but I do know her the best. We are both dog lovers. She cared for my dogs and kids when I travelled and I didn't worry for a minute. I've also spent a lot of time with her and her own dogs over the years. Dogs just love her. She is playful, kind and firm, and very responsible. She's the best!
I can’t think of a more perfect dog sitter than Carol Ortlip. No matter the size, breed, temperament, she somehow is able to burrow into their canine psyche and discover just what it is the particular dog needs. She is very much an outdoorsy person, so long walks and hikes are always in the mix. Smaller, shyer dogs can sit comfortably with her, she can be both exuberant and intimate. She has sat for 3 of our dogs over the years, up to weeks in length, and whenever we come home and she departs, I know I am a disappointment in comparison. You can’t go wrong with CO!

Just need to know limits like how long a walk we can expect and how intense the exercise can be. Are there any special needs to take into consideration.
A typical day
Maggie Mae needs daily romping so we either go off into the woods or I throw a ball for a couple times a day. We all walk along the lake a couple times a week. I walk our dogs first thing in the morning, around 6:00 am.

I am retired and, thus, have quite a bit of time to walk & spend time with your beloved pets!! It’s more than a “job” for me. It’s a labor of love as well.
