Pet care experience
Since I've been a kid I always had a dog in my life. We also dog sat our neighbors' dogs who got along well with our dogs. Right now we are empty nesters -- no dogs or kids.

Carol took such great care of my
You know when you are looking for someone to watch your dog (family member), you want someone that treats them as the special pup that they are - well that is how Carol and her husband treated Bear. He was allowed to curl up on Carol's lap (he is a Labrador) and if that wasn't enough space for Bear, Carol allowed him on the couch right next to them. She took him for walks around neighborhood. Sent pictures of him during his stay so we could see him while away. We did bring Bear over before leaving him, Carol asks questions about your dog to understand him and to help make his stay more comfortable. Would surely recommend Carol and will definitely use her again.
Carol and her husband, Dan, are absolutely wonderful - so attentive, thoughtful, patient, and lovely! Todd had an amazing day (and I almost think he would have preferred to stay).
Our Katie enjoyed her stay at Carol's. She was given the run of the house, taken for nice long walks, given treats, able to hang out with the family, played tug and fetch, and given the best ear scratches. She wasn't sure if she wanted to leave the excellent and attentive care that she received by Carol and her husband when we returned. Lol. We enjoyed receiving daily updates and photos of Katie's stay. We're definitely having Carol care for Katie the next time we can't take her with us on vacation.

We do not have a fenced yard, but would take your dog outside on a leash for his bathroom breaks. If you want your dog crated while in our home we can accommodate that as well. We live in a quiet neighborhood with very little automobile traffic -- it's a great place for walks -- short or long.

I want to know if your dog is up to date on his vaccinations; any allergies he may have. I would like to know his favorite treats and does he expect scraps from the table. I'd like to know if the dog likes to cuddle or sit on laps -- yes, I know some big dogs feel they are lap dogs and that's okay. I would like to know if the dog will feel comfortable if I have to leave him in my home alone for an hour or two or does he suffer from separation anxiety.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is a quiet neighborhood and not much vehicle traffic. But a great area to walk near woods, walk in our yard, a great place for a long or short walk.
