My husband and I have had our own dog since we were 21 years old and now have 3 of our own. I foster and work for a special needs dog rescue, having a lot of experience with medical emergencies, deaf and blind dogs, and dogs with anxiety. I am able to administer oral medication or give medications via syringe. I am great at crate training a dog, teaching them sit, shake, down, stay, reliable recall, and settle. My fiancé and I both work a flexible full time schedule during the week and home all day on the weekend. We provide plenty of exercise and play time during the week. On weekends, the dogs are with us all day with lots of playtime and exercise, walks, and unlimited potty breaks. Dogs in my care get plenty of exercise in the fenced in backyard, out on walks, or fun adventures out on the town. We are in walking distance to old Hilliard which hosts a lot of dog friendly evening activities. We also enjoy going out on hikes and taking the dogs swimming at a friends private pond. We have 3 dogs that are all good with other dogs: 8 year old deaf boxer mix, 5 year old lab mix, and 4 year old border collie mix. The boxer will play some and then usually keeps to herself to nap. The lab will play a lot, but prefers to play fetch on her own, and the border collie will play with anyone and everyone and does a great job at reading dogs cues on if they want to play or if they want to be done and left alone.
