Hello my name is Mike , I'm writing this testimonial for Carmen Lara regarding pet care. I've known Carmen for 7 years, she introduced me to Healing Touch Therapy for my horses. She has also spent many hours with my dog Maggie and cat Penny and many chickens. She has an amazing love and kindness for all my animals, she has house sat and cared for them many times. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone with pets, she is extremely Loving, Kind and Compassionate.
Carmen is excellent with both my dog and my cat. They adore her! She has a calming effect on them, and they melt around her. She's responsible, polite, and warm. I highly recommend her!
Carmen is amazing with animals! My 2.5 yr old, very anxious dog Duke, is always calmed by her presence. Carmen is very attentive to his needs and loves to hang out with him. When I’ve asked Carmen to help with overnight stays or a few hours of the day or evening, she’s been very communicative, asks excellent questions, and is mindful of particular asks/requests. For example, Duke has a hard time interacting with new dogs; therefore, Carmen has been very good about avoiding stress-inducing environments or situations.

If caring from my home, I live in a spacious 2 level home that has a good size fenced in yard. My partner and I have a small active dog who is happy to get to know new friends. If caring for pets in others homes: I receive home and pet care guidelines and respect them to the fullest.

A typical day
Outdoors and exercise are good for many reasons for both humans and animals. We will go on walks around the paths in the neighborhood. My favorite place is along the Spearfish creek. We will play with favorite toys whether that’s indoors or outdoors. There are local dog parks to go to as well.

Availability
In Aug of 2022, I moved to South Dakota from Minnesota. I am self employed so I can make my schedule as I please. Typically my schedule is mostly open and flexible, however due to a partners injury I am having to care for them. Will update schedule accordingly.
