My husband and I boarded our beloved 12-year-old Yorkie (who is like our child or son…a family member, not a “pet”) with Carlyn this past week while we were out of town. Our lil guy had not been left with anyone (outside of immediate family) since we relocated/returned to Madison six years ago. I knew upon meeting Carlyn & introducing her to Modi (our Yorkie) that she was the sitter for us. Modi is a sensitive guy & a cautious judge of character. He took to Carlyn immediately and it was clear at the end of our “meet and greet” that she is not only great with dogs, but sensitive and responsive to the needs of senior doggies (e.g., medications). In advance of Modi’s stay, Carlyn reached out to confirm Modi’s medication needs, supplies, as well as to request anything that we had left out in the way of instructions for his care. While away, Carlyn took photos, which she kindly sent on a daily basis along with photos. These updates & photos helped us feel better about our travels & time away from our lil guy. It was reassuring to see how well Modi was doing in a new place and with a new sitter. From start to finish, our experience boarding our pup with Carlyn was absolutely TERRIFIC!!! Carlyn is experienced with many different breeds. She is a true “animal lover” and someone who is exceptionally consistent & responsible. Carlyn exceeded our expectations. We like and think highly of her. We will plan our next trip(s) around when she is available.
