All dogs make me super happy!

Pet care experience

I have had the pleasure of working with animals my entire life. Before I focused on switching careers, I worked as an Executive Assistant to the President of a company with a pet-friendly office and one of my main commitments and responsibilities was to take care of his two Bernese Mountain dogs. I have experience with handling both large and small breed dogs. When the business changed hands and the office was no longer pet-friendly, I realized I was not as fulfilled by my work without being in an environment filled with many different types of fur babies! I own a Japanese-Chin/Chihuahua mix named Gus, and a Havanese named Max. I am very excited for the opportunity to work with your pets! Dogs make the world a happier, better place and they deserve all the love I have to offer! Please note, due to Rover fees in which I am bound to pay to use the app’s service, I only actually earn 80% of what you pay. Rover fees take 20% to help us find each other, which when you think about it is a huge chunk of earnings! I’m grateful for the app, but unfortunately have to charge higher prices to make up for the fees. I guarantee you will be satisfied with my service. I am so proud to hold a 5 star rating with each of my clients! If you are happy with my services please don’t hesitate to leave a testimonial of your own (if you haven’t already!) Thank you for the opportunity to walk your dog(s)! I only house sit for repeat customers, although I am always open to meet and greets! I require a meet and greet to make sure I am the perfect match for your fur baby before all services! Another note: I am severely allergic to cats, to the point where if their dander touches my skin I break out in hives and my body swells up until my throat closing is a scary possibility. I very recently experienced a very severe reaction from sleeping in a cat bed and it has since traumatized me. So that being said, my sincerest apologies but I will not sleep in your home if you have a cat, I have to protect myself and can not risk having an allergic that severe again. I will still walk your dog, I just can’t spend the night in a cat house.

Carly was great! Very professional since the meet & greet. She took very good care of my girl and was very patient with her and even helped us to clean a couple of pee accidents. We will definitely be using her services again.

My dog, Ginger, doesn’t do well with boarding. She’s very attached to me. When I had to go out of town for a wedding, Carly D. offered to dog sit at her house. My dog was very comfortable there. She loved going out in the fenced backyard and romping with Carly’s two dogs. Carly took my dog on walks everyday. Ginger did very well there and I had “peace of mind”! Thank you Carly.

Information Carly D. would like to know about your pet

It’s always helpful to know their routine—what time they normally eat, how many walks a day they require, and if they need any specific medications or treats. I love all and any types of pups! I have experience with both large and small breeds.

A typical day

I try to make a loop around the neighborhood, whether that be an apartment complex or a neighborhood street, I figure out what the safest, most efficient route to walk your pup is to occupy our 30 minute time slot.
