We booked Carlee to house sit and care for our two Australian Shepherds for two nights and three days. We had a meet and greet 3 days prior to our trip. The dogs really liked her and she seemed to be a great fit. We showed her around the house, the dogs’ food, etc. and all seemed to be in order for our trip so we booked with her. We discussed that Scout, our 9 month old puppy, would need to be in his kennel if she was not at the house and that he should not be left in there for excessive periods of time. I left her a long note on the kitchen counter that outlined feeding times for breakfast and dinner and other important information about the dogs. The first day of her stay, while we were already on the road, she texted stating that she had a babysitting job and asked if she could bring the little girl to our home to let our dogs out. This was not discussed previously, but our dogs needed care so we agreed. We had left at 9am that morning and she sent the text around 11am. She and the girl came to the house at 1pm and then left at 1:45pm. She said that she wasn’t watching the girl for longer than a few hours so we assumed that she would be back sometime that afternoon to start truly caring for the dogs. She and the girl did not come back to our home until 7:47pm and then they left again at 9:00pm. We were beginning to get worried because Carlee had not brought any belongings that indicated she was staying at our home (no backpack or overnight bag) which seemed strange. We have a Ring doorbell and can see people entering and exiting our home and the time stamps. Around 10:45pm, we still had not heard a word from Carlee and at that point, our large, energetic, 9 month old puppy had been in his kennel for 12 of the last 14 hours with no end in sight. We began to get frantic and very upset so we called a friend that lives nearby to go and stay with the dogs for the night. We then texted Carlee and told her not to come back and that we had it covered. Please consider this experience before booking with Carlee because we would have never agreed to her babysitting while on the job, leaving a puppy in a kennel for 12 hours, and displaying a complete lack of care for their well-being. This was unacceptable and so stressful to watch your puppy from many miles away be confined to a kennel for a cruel amount of time.

Carlee truly cares about my dogs! We came home from a trip, and they were so happy and healthy. She has my highest recommendation.
