8+Yrs on Rover! Enclosed Yard/Fence

Pet care experience

I aim to provide the quality of care you want for your animal that you would expect from family or friends! HOW TO BOOK WITH CARLA: -I invite all new clients to a meet and greet meeting to discuss care on the phone or in person. Whatever we decide on at that meeting will be the foundation of our relationship together. -All boarding dogs need a tag. I also recommend chips. -Dogs need current flea and tic medication administered. -Collar should be reasonably tight that the dog can not break out of and escape from once leashed. -Please provide written emergency contact information in dogs overnight bag. -Pack a non- disposable, sturdy overnight bag with food, treats and any dog gear. -Please label your items with dogs name (food tote, leash, bowls) (a piece of masking tape is fine on everything except toys.) HOW TO BOOK THE RIGHT NUMBER OF DAYS FOR CARE: -Check in begins at or after 3 pm the day of your booking. I am paid per night. If you need all day care that day, just message me first to talk about it. -Pick up hours end at 9:30 AM the last day of your stay. If you need to pick up later in the day, message me about it. -If you are picking up after 930 AM on the last day of your stay, I usually will bill for a day of daycare which ends at 5pm. -For all bookings, standard business hours are between 8AM and 9PM. I am not able to meet, operate, or extend hours outside of these times unless we talk about it in a message first -I do not accept any bookings under live video surveillance. I feel awkward and uncomfortable I think videotaping someone when they're alone in a private residence is an invasion of privacy. If you do not trust my methods with out your cameras watching me than please feel free to book a different rover sitter. I reserve the right to contact Rover and terminate any booking that has hidden cameras filming me when I am living in the house or caring for the dogs especially that are not to my knowledge. MEDICAL CARE INFO: I am willing to give liquid syaringe and pill medication. If your dog has ANY chance of declining their medication/vitamins I ask you provide peanut butter, cheese, or pill pockets, whatever works. I also ask that you include specialty items that the dog may need like diapers if the dog is frequently incontinent. I work with dogs needing advanced medical care or special needs on a case by case basis. I have administered eye drops, oral medication, expressed bladders, worked with paralyzed, down syndrome, and blind dogs. Please reach out to me for a meeting so we can discuss your dogs care. If your dog has an emergency, I will take it to Golf Rose Animal Hospital. Please provide me with your vets info so I can have the records faxed over. I am not able to go to your home vet in an emergency. Please be aware of this policy when booking with me. A little about Me: Hello, I am getting my doctorate in Physical Therapy online and so I am staying at home and finishing requirements and watching your dog!!! I would love to help out by caring and giving your pet my undivided attention! -I have worked at dog daycare/pet boarding facilities, assisted trainers with teaching behavioral classes, worked as a kennel volunteer, and been a foster parent to several dogs with slight behavioral issues. -I'm very responsible, respectful, flexible, and hard working. Good for last minutes stays or plan changes if you need an extra day or so that would be no problem. -After working with dogs my entire life I'm sure I'd be the perfect match for you and your pet! Why I love dog sitting and the dogs love me: My husband and I are loving fur parents of 3 extremely well behaved and wonderful dogs and 2 babies including a toddler and an infant coming October 2021. Your furry friend will not be left home alone all day unattended, and will be given the utmost love and care 'round the clock. We aim to make both our clients and their furry friends happy, and if there's anything we can do to accommodate you, please don't hesitate to ask! We also reinforce the commands you've been working on with your pup while you're away. We practice "sit", "down", "stay", and "leave it" as basic guidelines for working with our guests. We love when their parents give us a list of commands they've been working on with their pups as it gives us more fun things to help keep their minds sharp and them happy and healthy while staying in our home! Some of the aspects I have been thoroughly trained in include dog behavior, health, diet, and training. All of these aspects help ensure that your pup is in the best hands possible. If your pup is having even the slightest issue, such as only eating part of their dinner, slight anxiety when being left alone, lethargic when out of character of your pup, or anything “our of the ordinary”, I will contact you directly to let you know. Then, I will then assess the situation and with your consent do what the best option is to ensure optimal health, both physically and mentally, of your loved one(s). Meet my pets I have 3 dogs, an energetic 20 lb Shih Poo mix and lap dog 10 lb Maltese Yorking teacup, and a larges sloppy 90 lb German Shepard /Border Collie mix. After 7 years on Rover they are very good with other animals. I have previously owned many fish, reptiles, birds, and hamsters as well. About my yard HUGE! Plenty of space for them to burn off energy in my fenced yard. I live in a wooded area and own a home with a lot of privacy.

A typical day

Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where is your dog used to sleeping? My dogs sleep in crates at night. I allow Rover dogs to be loose in my living room at night if they meet these requirements: no pacing all night/no scratching/no barking/asking to go to pee from 11 pm- 6 am. Otherwise, they will be more comfortable in a kennel. It reduces pacing, nervous night pee. anxious night laps. Maybe your dog is not used to being kenneled or usually sleeps in bed with you only? A month prior to your vacation, you can begin to train your dog to sleep in a dog bed or crate and then by the time its time for babysitting at my house they will be all set!! Time I'll spend with your dog I am home full time with my toddler of 2 years. I live with my husband Joe who works full time. Our schedule is really flexible and between the two of us, someone is almost always home. I spend a large part of the day working from home on my college studies. I take my own dog on outings on a daily basis.
