As soon as I met Carla I knew she was going to be the right person to trust with my dogs! She handled each one exactly how they needed and they all responded very well to her. Dogs know when they meet a kind loving person and I’m looking forward to using her again very soon!

January 22, 2023 To Whom It May Concern: I have known Carla Gustka, formerly of Hair of the Dog Walking service for seven years. She became a trusted caregiver, friend and guardian of my dog, Perry. Perry is a small rescue dog who can be fearful and reactive. I was impressed when Carla took him out for “walking interviews” before she agreed to take him on as a client. During that time, she watched how Perry interacted with the rest of her pack and assessed his potential as an added member. I so respected the fact that she made no promises, but observed the needs of all of the dogs for whom she is caregiver and guardian. Carla watched Perry as though he was her dog. She communicated with me about his days, if he had loose stools or needed his nails trimmed. Carla has a wealth of knowledge about resources for animals from grooming to feeding. Most importantly, Carla loves working with dogs. These animals speak to her and she interacts with them and their owners in a respectful and caring way. I was sad to see Carla relocate to Texas because Perry and I lost a trusted friend and caregiver. Honest and loyal, Carla will be a wonderful addition to your company.
