Lifelong pet owner and vet tech

Pet care experience

Growing up on a farm, I started taking care of dogs and a variety of other animals daily at a very young age. As I got older, my passion for animals led me to pursue a career as a veterinary technician, so I have extensive experience caring for animals with all kinds of special needs, injuries and illnesses, and administering their medications. I also am confident dealing with dogs with behavioral issues.

This was my first time using Rover and didn't know what to expect. Totally pleased with my experience. Carla did an outstanding job dealing with my dogs. She clearly knows how to deal with dogs and had no trouble getting my less than polite dog to warn up to her. I got plenty of pictures and updates. Carla even went above and beyond and washed the dishes I had prepared dog dinners in. Wasn't necessary but she clearly takes pride in what she does. She even got the best picture anyone had taken of my two. I'm totally please and will not hesitate to use Carla again. Highly recommend.

Carla is outstanding. My father is in an assisted living facility and she went above and beyond in helping with his dog than just walking him. She is compassionate, professional, flexible, understanding, and kindhearted. I would give more than five stars if I could.

I am happy to come to your home to care for and take your pet out for walks in the neighborhood, give them time to play in the yard and/or snuggle on the couch, or even take them for a car ride to visit a nearby park or other place they like to visit. The boarding setup at my quiet, peaceful farm includes a large secure fenced yard with grass and shade for your pet to play or relax in as much as they would like, and a private fully insulated room with heat and air conditioning, with Coolaroo beds and/or plastic crates for your pet’s comfort and sense of security while they are resting.

Information Carla D. would like to know about your pet

I love all types of dogs and animals in general. I have no breed or size preferences. Some things that would be good to share with me about your dog before I care for them are if they usually get along well with other dogs (on or off leash), if they're usually friendly when approached by strangers (in the home or in public), and if they have any behavioral issues like storm anxiety or food aggression. None of these issues would deter me from taking care of your pet, they would simply help be take better care of them. Also, please let me know if they have any favorite treats, toys or activites!

A typical day

In addition to providing basic care such as meals, administering medications, and bathroom breaks, I would love to walk them around your neighborhood, take them out in the yard or to a local park to play, or just cuddle on the couch if that's their favorite thing!
