Hello! My name is Carla, and I am a 31 year old full time Graphic Design student. All of my courses are completed online giving me the flexibility to be available whenever and wherever you may need! My professional pet care experience began at age 12 as a groomer’s assistant, where dog daycare was also offered. When the business owner became pregnant I proceeded to take over the overnight daycare stays in my home. Over the 6 years I worked there I watched breeds of all sizes from papillons to wolf hounds, with giant breeds being my favourite. I have lots of experience with large and giant breeds. I currently own an 11 year old Mastiff cross named Thor. I also owned a Cane Corso named Luna, however she sadly passed from cancer at 13 in 2021. My mom is a dog trainer in Ontario so I have attended and helped out with many classes and group socializing walks. I always use positive reinforcement and provide enrichment activities. It is very important for me to know their commands as well as any hand signals they are trained with to ensure I don’t confuse them.
