Hello! I am a new Denver resident who just finished up a MS in Biology at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ! I now work at the Anschutz Medical Campus full time where I research pediatric heart failure. My family has owned 3 dogs (2 of which are rescues) over the past 15 years- Princess (Siberian/Malamute Husky), Cocoa (toy Poodle), and Dora (Beagle/Terrier). I grew up caring for my little family members and I have missed having them around during my time in college. I know how to properly care for a furry friend due to experience growing up with them. I also did Rover in Flagstaff and through that, gained repeat clients which I absolutely loved. In my free time...I can be found running around and taking friend's dogs for walks, hiking, and exploring my new beautiful home! Things to know about me- I live in Thornton and work in Aurora, so I am flexible as far as where I’m willing to travel to care for your pet (it's more ideal if it's in between those places or at least near one). I work full time but my job is flexible so I ask that you be flexible as well with when I can come by and watch your pet!

Carissa was so good to Dottie on her stay! I was happy with the frequent updates about their walks and activity while I was away and I could tell Dottie was in good, caring hands. I'm super particular about dog sitters because my dog is a bit high maintenance and stresses out fairly easily--I could tell Dottie got plenty of play time and attention and was not stressed out when I picked her up, though. Thank you, Carissa!
Carissa was great with Theia! My boyfriend and I were nervous leaving her with someone new since she is very attached to us, but overall things worked out. Carissa was very understanding of our concerns, and make us feel at ease. I loved seeing the pictures of Theia playing throughout the day! By the time we picked Theia up, she seemed to be comfortable. Thank you!

Trails and local parks are a great place in town to get a good walk in for your dog if you have a very active dog. Fetch, throwing the ball or frisbee, and just running around your yard are activities I could do with your dog! I will make sure that you receive as many updates as you want, including pictures of your furry little friend!
