Pet care experience
I've always lived and played with a variety of cat and dog breeds and enjoyed the thrill in learning their individual personalities. There's never been an animal whose trust I didn't earn for at least one head scratch! We had one dog growing up: an Alaskan Malamute found wild in the Pocono Mountains. Now I have a mix breed who's just under 1 year. We've trained Maple with a number of necessary commands; her next goal is AKC certification. Tina, our last dog, had range of special needs, so I'm in tune to your pet's accommodations. From young, big, and wild to older, small, and set in their ways, I'm up for most temperaments! Need the houseplants watered? I have that covered, too. Also, I have administered medicine orally and through subcutaneous injections to both cats and dogs. I understand every creature has its own needs and am attentive to whatever yours desires to feel safe. Patience is necessary for many animals interacting with an unfamiliar human, so I understand our animal companions may need to feel us out. For me, trust building is part of the fun getting to know each other!
Reviews
This was our sixth time having Carey stay at our house to watched our house and two dogs while we were away. He did an amazing job as always. The house was spotless and the dogs very happy and well cared for! We couldn't recommend Carey more highly!
Carey is great a choice for folks that need a dog walker. I have a 50 pound pit mix that gets too excited on walks. My mother told me that my dog was very happy to engage with him. Additionally, Carey made time to listen to my instructions over the phone. He could have easily asked me to text the instructions but decided to accept my request to explain things on the phone. This helped my anxiety a lot.
Carey is excellent! He has come through for me in a pinch with a last minute walker request and was very communicative throughout the whole process! Carey is pleasant to work with and is my go-to person for a mid-afternoon walk.
Carey was great with our dogs Faye & Bucco. He walked our fur babies and took them to dog parks and slept with them to lessen their anxiety while we were on vacation. We were relaxed knowing they were in Carey’s care. We will have him watch F&B again.

In addition to regular bathroom breaks, Maple and I strive for at least one long walk or hike and one brisk stroll through the neighborhood each day. Treats are mostly for positive reinforcement, especially since she's still learning the ropes. I'm prepared to take on whatever policies your pet babies prefer with a understanding that no 2 are the same. Side note: Fully COVID vaccinated

Information Carey P. would like to know about your pet
It is important to know your dogs specific needs and interests. Diet can vary from animal to animal; communicating what your dog can and cannot consume is vital to know before our time together.
A typical day
Your dog and I can go for leashed walks or runs, or we can visit a local park to run free if he/she has solid recall and is allowed. We also can play in the yard if you have an older or low energy dog. Whether it's a trot down the street or a swim at the beach, we'll be at the place your dog loves best! My car has a 360 degree back-seat hammock, so pets can join in adventures given their permission slips are signed : )

Availability
My dog and I value walks and cuddles, and I strive to care for your pets the way they prefer. We can spend as much time outside as your fur baby needs to burn off energy or simply take in the sunshine before a snooze on the rug. Dogs who do well off leash often get treated to park visits to run free! Always nice to hear when they come back to you tired and happy.
