Pet care experience

I love animals and recognize your pet is a family member. I can assure you I will give all the love and attention to your pets that I would extend to my own family. I am a previous vet technician and currently licensed as a RN (APRN). I am a military wife and a mother. My children love and respect animals as well. I have 3 dogs of my own and two cats (although one thinks he's a dog). They are both used to dogs. I also have pet rabbits, who are in areas away from pups. I teach online from home and because I am home during the day, I am able to give your pets total care. *I donate a percentage of my earnings to DallasDogsRRR directly through Rover. Therefore your pups stay with us will help other animals in need. We have a large house with different areas to meet all our animals' needs. Safety is our main priority followed by a good time for all. We have a beautiful tiled downstairs basement that opens to a fully fenced dog yard. This is our safest place. No eating is allowed down here by the humans. Dog food and treats can be locked away in the dog closet. Counter surfers will be safe here. In our specifically designed dog area downstairs my office and my son's bedroom reside as well as our general entertainment area. Someone is always here unless we are eating dinner upstairs. On our mid-level smaller critters hangout out ( cats, and pups who are older and do not like to be bothered, by young energetic pups). Here they can snooze the day away to their hearts content, while still getting snuggles and love on a regular basis as well as frequent potty breaks. In addition to our dog yard, we also have a large play yard. This is for afternoon play. We let the pups out and they can run to their hearts content. We throw balls and let them play fetch and have some exercise. Our usual day consists of getting up around 6 AM, letting all critters have a potty break, followed by breakfast. I then either teach ( downstairs) if I have a class or start walking pups or cleaning the house. I take breaks in my routine to let pups out for potty breaks and to give cuddles and some playing. In the afternoon the kids arrive. They do their chores and congregate downstairs. They enjoy playing and socializing with the dogs. We do big yard play time around 5PM, once the weather is nice and not too hot, followed by dinner between 6-7. We try to do evening walks as well and make it a priority for pups with high energy needs. I send lots of pictures and updates. I want you to know what your pup is up to. IF they are not eating well, or feeling well or anything seems not quite right, I will message so we can coordinate the best solution. I also frequently boil chicken for pups with special needs. Please feel free to discuss any concerns or special instructions with me. Although we do have a general schedule, which we find meets the majority of our pets needs we will work with you to make sure your pet feels as much at home as possible. We do request meet n greets. This is for your pup. We want your pup to get use to the smells of our house, that way when he/she comes to stay with us he/she will feel more comfortable. We also require that your pup is up to date on all shots. WE strongly prefer that all our pups take monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevention medicine and have an up to date Bordetella vaccine Please discuss with me if this is not the case. We want to make sure your pup, as well as all others are happy as well as safe in our care. We ask that you bring your pups bedding, and bowls as well as treats ( if grain free or on a special diet). The more things that smell like their home, the more comfortable they will be on their vacation with us. Please package their daily meals into individual baggies. One for breakfast and one for dinner, or whatever their meal style is. This ensures they get the exact amount and there is just the right amount for their stay. We encourage you to send a few extra baggies tho just incase. We have had instances where owners were stuck in route and were not able to be back the day they had planned. Travel happens. We want you not to have to worry about your pup. We got this! We look forward to taking care of your best friend and giving them a wonderful Rover experience!!

The best boarding experience! Caren, kept me informed of how Benny was doing each day with pictures and texts. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Caren for taking such a great care of my furry son!

Caren has been amazing every time we have used her! She is very caring and accommodating to our big fur ball even administering meds when needed. Caren and her family treat our dog as part of their family and as much as he loves to come home he gets sad leaving!!

Caren and her family took EXCELLENT care of Teddy, our special golden doodle, when we traveled to visit family. It was the first time leaving Teddy with the family, and my anxiety quickly decreased when Caren continually sent pics and updates of Teddy smiling, playing with her children, and relaxing at their home. I cannot thank Caren and her family enough for taking incredible care of our special dog, and I look forward to having her care for Teddy again soon. Caren is a very kind, thoughtful, and responsible sitter who I highly recommend!!

Caren and her family took wonderful care of our dog. Caren sent lots of pictures to show us what DJ was up to and she provided statuses on how things were going - it was very assuring.
