Hi!! I am a school psychologist by career but my passion is taking care of dogs. I love getting to know different breeds and watching my children nurture and play with visiting guests.. I have four of my own dogs that I rescued and for some, have worked very hard training and rehabilitating them. Teaching them how to trust and love their own canine family and humans. It can be a challenge but nothing feels better then seeing the end result. I have been a dog owner my whole life. Even as an adolescent, I had a job walking and babysitting dogs in my apartment building. I always had a family dog in the house. My husband, Mike also loves dogs and sometimes gets too attached to visiting guests. He never wants them to leave!! He is particularly good with active or socially insecure animals. In no time, trust is established and he has a "shadow" the entire stay. He takes an active role in their exercise and play time events. My personal pack of four are a mixture of small, medium and large framed breeds. My smallest dog, Lacey, is a "teddy bear" who is trapped in a Great Dane's psyche. Every dog has there own personality and I love getting to know each one and helping their owners, if they should have any challenges, with them. I have three children, Hailey 10 yrs, Branden 13 yrs and Matthew 15 years old. I treat this commitment as a collaborative family responsibility where my children get to earn some of the money helping with the animals. My daughter is like a mini dog whisperer quickly calming any scared or nervous pet. My middle son, Branden, seems to enjoy giving and receiving affection, helping with walks and most of all having surprise canine visitors in his bed at night. When guests dogs are lost at night, they can usually be found under Branden';s covers. My older son, Matt complains about the barking and such, yet why do I find selfies of him with visiting dogs in his room watching him playing video games? He is also most sad when he hears that a guest is only staying a day or two. LOL. Me, I am the pack leader!! Feeding, giving affection, exercising and supervising at all times. Our home is like doggie camp! I try to always follow the routines of the owners so that their pups feel happy and safe!!! When return guests arrive at my home they run down the path and don't look back at their owners. Everybody is left smiling!! I send daily photos and respond to all inquiries within minutes. Weather permitting we take the dogs for 1 or 2, 30 minute walks a day. So, let your puppy enjoy a vacation while you enjoy yours. I also do home visits, should you need your baby to stay at home and not be around other animals. In the best interest for all I require a meet and greet before a formal booking to ensure that all parties involved are comfortable with the arrangements. After all, our pets are like our children. Your dogs safety is just as important as the safety and happiness of my dogs. Hope to hear from you soon.
