My family has had pets for most of my life and I’ve taken care of friends’ pets in the past. I’m just a youngin’ that’s not in a place to have a pet right now, so I’d love to help take care of yours for a bit.

Cara is the BEST pet sitter! She is so thoughtful and gives daily updates on your pets. Our older dog gets very nervous when it storms and she was patient and snuggled her until she felt better. She tries to keep the same routine for your pets so they are comfortable when you are away. Our new rescue dog (who can be a bit challenging) quickly fell for Cara and was allowing her to give belly rubs!?
Cara dog sat for our 1 year old dog for a long weekend trip. I loved the nightly updates & the details that came when there were bad storms passing through. My house was cleaner than I left it upon return and was so glad I didn’t have to worry about anything while away!
Cara did an amazing job, especially dealing with my hellcat Lucy! We really appreciated the detailed reports that we got at the end of the night as well as all of the pictures.

While you’re away, you will get daily updates near the end of the day, complete with pictures. I can also communicate throughout the day if desired. I will follow any instructions left for me and will conform to your pet’s schedule. If I need to leave during a stay, I will always let your pet out before I leave and immediately after I return. As for your home, I will leave no trace of my stay. When you come home, you will find that any linens/bedding I’ve used will be washed and either folded or replaced, dishes done, toys put away, and everything in its rightful place. You’ll find your home exactly as you left it or better - and a pup/pups that are comfortable, well-cared for, and happy to see you!

I would like to know if a pet is shy, fearful, has indoor accidents, or bolts for open doors. I’m happy to work with all dogs - I just want to make sure I have the right energy before I meet them. I would also like to know if they will need to be crated if they are alone in the house.
A typical day
Most days will involve treats, outside time (whether by walks or backyard time), and lots and LOTS of lovin’s. When I’m at your home, your fur babies will be played with and let out every couple hours at least, in addition to any time they need to or ask. They will get LAVISHED with attention, but with respect to their particular personalities and needs. For instance, if your pup is shy or fearful, I will be careful to gain their trust without forcing myself on them. If they’re independent, I respect their rhythm and routine. All dogs deserve love in the way they best receive it!

I work from home, so I will be around all the time to snuggle and care for your babes. I’m happy to book housesitting arrangements for a week or longer and will be happy to book way out in advance, if that’s your game.
