Pet care experience
My family has had dogs and chickens since I was a child. I’ve never not had a dog and currently own 7. I’m a certified master dog trainer and canine behavior specialist, I was certified at Starmark Academy in Texas. I was the manager for the dog day camp at a pet grooming and dog day camp business for 7 years where understanding dog behavior, clipping dog and cat nails, and handling dogs and cats became second nature. I became a certified Animal Control Officer in 2015, and I’m certified in pet CPR as well. I have fostered dogs for several different rescues and have had up to 8 living in my house at one time without incident. I know it can be nerve racking letting someone else take the reins on your fur babies, and i promise to love any and all of your pets like my own! I also worked on a horse breeding farm for a few years and am completely comfortable with horses, cows and other farm animals.

We boarded our quirky 12-year old lab mix with Cara last weekend. She and her partner too excellent care of him. They took care to introduce him to their pup pack and to help him feel at home. He even ate all of his meals--which he NEVER does when he's traveling. Their place has a great fenced in area with lots of room for play. We got several updates on his stay, which was clearly very enjoyable for him. I highly recommend Cara!
For the love of your dog choose Cara. We call her the dog wisperer. She will learn what your dog needs and pick up on their cues in record time. Dogs are family and Cara appreciates that. She has dedicated her life to dog rescue, fostering and adoption. She will be that positive interaction with your furry friend while you are away whether it’s feeding,walking, or just interacting. There is nobody I trust more than Cara to care for my fur babies.
I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone other than Cara! She's always shown a deep understanding of dogs, their behavior, and has taught me countless ways to better interact with my own dogs. With experience as an Animal Control Officer, fostering and placing over 50+ dogs into fur-ever homes, and taking the best care of her OWN 5 dogs...if you want someone you can trust with your pup, it has to be Cara!
My go-to dog sitter!! Cara has taken care of my American bulldog countless times and I never worry when he’s in her care. Cara is very knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors, training techniques etc. She has an extensive background working with dogs, from fostering puppies to bringing lost dogs home as an animal control officer. I assure you Cara will give your pup all the love and attention he/she needs, and will quickly be able to pick up on your pet’s behaviors & quirks.

I live about 10 minutes from Devil’s Den State Park which is loaded with hiking trails and my boyfriend and I also have 9 acres of our own land. Our yard is completely fenced in and our house is pushed back from the road in a quiet rural area.

All i’d like to know beforehand is if your dog is dog friendly, fixed or not, housetrained or not, and if they need a crate for anything. Also, of course anything you deem necessary for me to know. I’m happy to work with whatever your animal needs to the best of my ability!
A typical day
I’m comfortable with whatever your dog needs! If they need a run/long walk we can do that or if they just like short easy walks or no walks at all and just need love, i’m comfortable with whatever you would like best for your pup! I can also provide training for an extra fee if you want! Fees will depend on what you’re looking for and if you want to do more than a 1 time thing. I’m able to train basic-advanced obedience, address behavior problems, and temperament test dogs or puppies.
