Pet care experience
Growing up on a farm with many kinds of animals (dogs, cattle, pigs and goats) gave me a passion for caring for animals. I am a responsible, calm person who will ensure your dog is getting the best care. I began pet sitting in DC and volunteering at a shelter when I was living in a location that didn't allow pets. After taking care of many pets across DC, I was able to welcome my own home this year. With my fun loving dog, I am able to welcome your pet into my very dog-friendly apartment home! When your pet is with me, they will enjoy plenty of cuddles, walks, and lots of play. If you dog enjoys playing with other pups, I have an onsite enclosed dog park exclusive to my apartment community.

Cara watches our 2 year old labradoodle, Hemingway, frequently. She always goes above and beyond to make sure he’s happy and well taken care of. One time, he had a cut on his leg from my amateur attempt at home grooming. When he reopened it playing, she went out and bought extra gauze and such to fix him up. He also has typical doodle stomach problems, and she is so good at keeping up with his food and probiotics. Her pupper, Neville, is adorable and seems to love the company. And she takes the best pictures of them playing together and snuggling. Hemi loves hanging with her and Neville! Book. Cara. Every. Time.
Cara watched our dog, Archie, for about 5 days and she did an amazing job. Cara sent regular updates and clearly provided Archie with a lot of love, attention, and activity. As usual, Cara left our house in amazing shape when she left. Worth noting that many of our neighbors proactively comment on how awesome Cara is with Archie!

I'm really late in providing this review (since Cara provided dogsitting services for me a few months ago), but better late than never - especially since it would be an absolute sin if I didn't inform "Rover world" of the truly amazing gem that is Cara O.! She was absolutely phenomenal. She watched my 12 year-old Mastiff for almost a week, and I received pictures and updates everyday. She has a delightful and kind spirit, and I had no problems trusting her to take great care of my dog in my home while I was away on travel. And she did a great job. My dog was happy, healthy and fell in love with Cara! I will certainly use her again and again!

I live in a very dog-friendly apartment building and neighborhood. In my home, your pet will be allowed on the furniture (unless directed otherwise) and will have full access to all the dog toys. I also take care instructions very seriously as I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible when they are away from home.

I would prefer to meet the pet and pet parent before, to ensure that everybody is comfortable and your dog gets along with my pup. I would like to know how well they adjust to not having their owner, additional information about the dog’s health, habits and contact information for emergencies.
A typical day
Your pets will have my undivided attention when I am home with them. They will receive at least two walks a day and plenty of pampering. If you are comfortable, I have a convenient enclosed dog park located within my apartment building where your dog could receive extra playtime.

I work a full-time job away from home during the week so I am only able to accommodate furry friends during the weekends and some holidays. I'm available for boarding on weekends starting on Thursdays.
