I work at home & will ❤️ your pup!

Pet care experience

I have spent most of my life caring for animals, both my own and my friends’ and family’s. I love spending time with my little buddies. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs from Yorkies to retired racing Greyhounds. My own dog, who passed in 2019, was a 15 year old Maltese-Poodle. He was quite high-maintenance as I’m sure you can imagine. I treated my little pup as a prince and my best friend. I will ensure to do that for your own little furry friends. Outside of being an animal lover, I work full time as an Onboarding Specialist. I enjoy reading, watching copious amounts of Netflix, and spending time outside on the lakefront paths. I am highly qualified to take care of your pet and I would love the opportunity to show you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Look forward to it!

She seemed like a great fit but completely ghosted us the day of, which left us in a bind. I hope she's ok.

Cara was so wonderful with Igby. She sent multiple pictures of Igby every day (mostly him snuggling up with her) and was so good with him. We will definitely be using Cara next time we go out of town.

I can't thank Cara enough for how well she took care of my pup, Kelce, while I was out of town for a wedding. Cara took the time to send me updates and photos, and it was evident that Kelce felt right at home. She was spoiled with trips to the dog park, the lake, special treats (Cara asked permission first!), and lots of attention and snuggles.

Cara is such an awesome sitter. It usually takes some time for my puppy to get used to new people. That was not the case with Cara. I was surprised that my pup likes her immediately. She had a ton of fun while staying with Cara, from long walks to visiting the dog park. Definitely gonna rebook Cara again.

Safety, trust & environment

I make sure to treat each pet like my own - spending some quality time playing, giving affection, and exercising. There have been several owners that have very specific needs for their dogs and I’m happy to comply! I am always of the mindset, “I’ll do whatever I need to make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy!” so I will go above and beyond to ensure that your pup won’t have to deviate too far from their routine while I’m watching them. When it comes to your dog, I truly will make their safety and happiness my top priority.

Information Cara L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or takes any specific medication that they’ll need! My dog was 15 when he passed and had a lot of odd quirks and needs so I’m absolutely open to doing whatever it takes to making your dog comfortable! Also please let me know how you plan on dropping your dog off (if boarding), their typical schedule with walks, potty breaks, and meals, and how frequently you want updates :)

A typical day

A typical day for your pup would be to wake up, go for a quick walk around the neighborhood. Then we can play and relax - really whatever your pup is interested in. I love going for evening walks, as well, and find that this is a great way for dogs to get most of their energy out, weather permitting! I’m hoping that while your dog is staying with me, they’ll feel as if they’re enjoying a week or weekend of luxury at a spa, haha!
