Pet care experience
Myself and my partner Peter have a lifetime of experience in taking care of a range of dogs. I have specific experience in owning rescue dogs with various challenging behaviours and needs. We currently have a cockapoo ourselves called Reggie who is 18 months old. Reggie is great with all dogs and loves to welcome them into our home and share his toys. We have created this service with Rover as we have noticed that there are not many doggy day care services in the area, that can provide that ‘at home’ feeling for our pooches. We would be honoured to look after your dog for as long or as short a stay as you need, so you are able to enjoy your trip confident in the knowledge that your pooch is being taken care of.

Kirsty had a lovely time with Cara. I was confident leaving her after a meet and greet and 2 hour home stay prior , but also because I felt Cara had really listened to me on Kirsty’s history and ways and behaviours. Kirsty came back healthy and happy and our chat on collection confirmed to me that Cara had really “got” how she was and that Kirsty was showing settled and happy behaviours in her holiday home. I think was a bit disappointed coming back!
Cara (and Pete and Reggie!) were great hosts for our dog and she had a fantastic time during her 11-12 day stay. She got on very well with Reggie and would happily have stayed longer! Cara kept us up-to-date during our trip with photos and videos, which was very reassuring. We had to use rover at the last minute when our usual dogsitting arrangements fell through due to a bereavement. I found several suitable options on the site and Cara was a perfect match. It cost a little more but it was so worth it for the peace of mind. Would not hesitate to use Cara again and hope to do so!!!
Poppy had a great time and got on really well everyone in the house! She will definitely be coming back.

We live in a detached family home with a fenced front and back garden. As we have recently gone through the puppy stage with our dog Reggie, the house is completely pup-proof, with open spaces for the dogs to play and chill. Dogs are allowed on all sofas / beds, wherever they are comfortable! We have experience of crate training and are comfortable using a crate if this is what your pup is used to.

It would be great to know as much information about your dog ahead of time, to make sure we can accommodate them in the best way, so they are comfortable during their stay.
A typical day
We walk Reggie twice a day and ensure we play enrichment games during the day to keep his mind occupied! There are some fantastic walks close by, including large fields and woods with some great sniffs! We will ensure to walk your pooch on lead, if this is something that you would prefer. If not, we have experience in handling dogs off lead and typical recall training techniques to utilise whilst out on walks.

Availability
My partner works at home full time and I currently do 2 days at home and 3 days in the office about 20 minutes drive away. We are therefore very flexible and are always able to ensure at least one of us is able to provide companionship and care for your dog at all times.
