Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my whole life (cats, dogs, turtles, chickens, a goose, etc!) and love animals. I’ve been dog-sitting/walking for the past 3 years and moved to Rockaway Beach this summer.

Cara is awesome with dogs! She's watched mine a number of times and they absolutely love her. You should feel safe and sound with your pups being cared for by Cara. I know "dog people" and Cara is through and through one!
Cara was on time and professional and she made Biscuit a very happy girl. Don’t be fooled by the name. Biscuit isn’t always as sweet as she sounds.
I've known Cara for years, allowing me to bare witness to her gentle, calm and mature demeanor with all walks of life. Recently I saw first hand how truly gifted she is with animals. She has always welcomed my pets when we have gotten together. I have only been afraid of two animals my whole life: two male dogs. While Cara was dog sitting I came to visit, and answer her call for help. What we didn't know, though, was that she never needed it. Her energy was all he wanted, her vibe was calm and soft; and I actually only made things worse. She accomplished all goals she set out for the night and did so safely and gently. I tried acting like myself but that dog made me anxious, knowing nothing about him. Dogs and cats seem to adore her as her cats are her shadow, loving to be in whatever room she's in. Cara has an energy that animals (and humans) are drawn to. I can say with 100% certainty I would trust Cara with my cats, dog, goats and or horse.
Cara is a very diligent caregiver to my dog. Having known her for many years, I can attest to how committed she is to an animal's safety and well being. My dog is always excited to see her and to stay at her house, and she never places him in harm's way. She is a very gentle and generous person, and while my dog is not the easiest to take care of (80 lb pit mix), and doesn't like all people, he loves staying with Cara. She always makes sure he gets outside enough and takes enough walks, and often when I arrive to pick him up, he doesn't want to leave. Cara is very responsible, holds down a steady job, lives a healthy and positive life, and is a good influence for any pet. She is sure to make any boarding experience easy and worthwhile.

I think the boardwalk is the ideal place for a friendly and trained dog to walk and socialize. If they have even basic rudimentary training I can work with them on our walks to expand their training and good behavior :).

A typical day
I’m currently only available to do walking and drop-ins (can’t host). I can work on training and behavior therapy, just let me know where the dog is at in their training. Off-season we can go and run around the beach.

Availability
I work from home 5 out of 7 days a week so am available to walk or drop-in most days. I love being able to get outside with a cute furry friend and stretch our legs, even when raining, I don’t mind.
