Pet care experience
Hi! I have some free time and what better way to spend it then outside with dogs, rain or shine! I have a six year old mini Aussie named Ponyo and he has a ton of energy. Getting him out at least twice a day is just a basic necessity, because his breed is naturally very active. You could say he has trained me! Because of this, and years of dog/house-sitting experience, I completely understand that we all have hectic work schedules and social lives that we cannot always include our pets in. I want to give all the love, care, and attention to each furries needs just as I would want someone to do for my sweet doggie when I’m away. Give me a call or text if you want to connect!

Candice has been our pet sitter during this first year of retirement for my husband and myself. She is a loving and reliable sitter for our old cat and energetic dog! Both pets, as well as us, were drawn to her positive and caring personality right from the start! When we return home from our travels the pets are obviously well taken care of and well loved! She even sends us cute pet pictures while she is in charge! Anyone would be lucky to get Candice loving on their pets!!

Before sitting or walking, I would love to do a quick meet and greet! It’s always good to do this and insure a good fit for all. I always ask about all the basics, things like, “up to date on all vaccinations”, “Favorite toys, foods, parks...”, “any dietary restrictions?”, etc. I also keep a notebook with a page for every pet, so I never forget any special details. I am currently looking into getting certified in dog first aid and CPR.
A typical day
I am a huge fan of being totally open to the different needs of each doggie! Walks in their own neighborhood, exploring at off-leash trails, a quick pic snapped at the beach and sent to mom or dad in between our frisbee throws, a snack left behind is fed to them before our time is up, training reinforcement ...whatever is fun for them! I can even bring my dog for some canine company if that sounds like a good time for your pups.
