Dogs have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family raised and showed German Shorthaired Pointers, and we also had a few other dogs over the years including several Border Collies, a Labrador Retriever, and a Miniature Schnauzer. During college I always kept animals and dogs as an integral part of my life; I began showing dogs with a professional handler, and acquired my lovely boy Ryder (a Brittany Spaniel) who is like my child. I've competed with Ryder in conformation dog shows, field trials, and other performance events. In high school and college I spent my summers working at a vet clinic, bathing, walking, and administering medications to dogs and cats. I've also volunteered for several dog rescue groups and shelters in both Texas and New York. My dog is like my family, and I hold my standards of care for any dog to the same level that I would expect from someone caring for my own. I've pet-sat for family and friends for most of my life, and I've walked and sat dogs professionally in New York for the past several years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Newfoundlands. I'm well-versed with various types of collars and harnesses, I can administer medications as necessary, and I pay close attention to detail. I love meeting new dogs and their owners, and I look forward to keeping your furry friend company while you're away!
