Pet care experience
Hi! I've always loved dogs and volunteered for various animal shelters, adoption centers, and animal welfare organizations for over 7 years. I continue to actively volunteer and give back to dogs in need whenever possible. I had a dog of my own until recently and had several others in the house for the majority of my life. My direct experience with dogs ranges from small to large breeds, puppies to seniors, newborn and orphaned puppies, and special needs dogs. I have over 250 5-stars received from successful dog walks on Wag, alongside many owner compliment badges and walk achievement badges that confirm my ability to have an engaging and enjoyable walk according to pet owner’s needs. Over the years of providing walking/sitting services, I’ve expanded my clientele to include many repeat clients and I always welcome more! I love to exercise so if you want me to run with your dog, I'm game! I also live by a park where I can help your dog socialize at your request. I found that most of the dogs I watch love a good round of fetch there or just lay and dog watch. If there are any special requests, I’m sure there will be no problem meeting them. Please let me know any and all so I can provide the best environment for your little one! I work from home and rarely leave so I’ll be here and your dog will always have my full attention! I look forward to meeting your dog😊 — Additional points to note: My daycares run on a typical 9-5 schedule. I will do my best to be flexible around drop off and pick up times if possible. In order to provide the best service to your pet and other pets in my care, I ask that you please provide accurate drop off and pick up times. Late pick ups without prior communication will lead to an added fee of $5 for every 15 min increment. I believe in transparency and always provide honest updates and feedback. It is my hope that you will do the same. Please share any relevant information about your pet (house trained or not, barking, any destructive behavior, etc) so I can better prepare myself and provide the best care possible :) Thank you!

Candace was an amazing carer for my elder pup, Red. Red has many special needs and doesn't trust people easily - Candace treated him with care and space to the point where he rolled over and offered his belly, which he has only ever done with one person (me) since I rescued him a year ago. I think this just goes to show what an excellent carer Candace was for Red - if I need a home for him in the future I will definitely ring Candace first!
Candace did a wonderful job watching our two pups. She sent helpful updates and lots of photos and videos, which I appreciated. I worry a lot about the dogs when they're away, but she totally had everything under control.
Candace was great! Kobe is a bit shy when meeting new people and she took time to play with him and get him adjusted. She even sent this nervous mamma tons of pictures/videos so I knew he was doing ok. Candace was a great introduction to all things Rover.
Honestly, if Candace were to stop puppy sitting, my life would fall apart LITERALLY. She is extremely understanding of all the schedule changes and went out of her way to help accommodate me/Miso. It’s never comfortable leaving your puppy/dog with someone else and especially for a long period of time. With that being said, Candace was very consistent and updated me throughout the day with photos/videos. Not only that, but she is genuine and real when it comes to the relationship with Miso! I love and appreciate how she cares for Miso as if it was her own puppy! That makes me feel comfortable and at ease to travel so much for work and not have to worry about how Miso is doing. Miso loves Candace and with the high energy Miso has I was a little worried, but she’s so good with Miso! ( I can trust Candace over anyone else.. sometimes even myself...which says a lot ). Thank you so much Candace! I’m more than grateful that we came across your profile. We appreciate everything that you do and can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond just everything! I’m excited to have found someone we can comfortably work with for the next year and more!

My apartment is nice and cozy for small to medium sized dogs. I never open my balcony when a pet is in my care and only leave for short periods of time only and if needed (to pick up food or groceries). If I must leave, I monitor all pets using 2 cameras.

A typical day
I’m an early riser and enjoy starting off the day with a nice walk and playtime at the park. I live a few blocks from a park where I like to take dogs to dog/people watch, go potty, play fetch, etc. I take frequent potty breaks throughout the day and return to the park in the evening for a longer session. Indoors, I like to keep dogs entertained with fetch, belly rubs, and short training sessions where I reinforce basic commands.
