I've loved dogs my whole life, but I have such a weird schedule sometimes and a tiny studio apartment, that I don't have a dog because I would hate for them to feel lonely or cramped up! So, I especially love dog sitting because I get to spend some quality time with a pup and get some much needed cuddles! I also have a cat at home, so I love animals, and dogs are a fun treat when I get to hangout with them because you can take them outside to play! My cat Valentino definitely doesn't enjoy those things! :) I've been dog sitting a lot since I moved to Portland 4 years ago so I have a lot of experience and many returning clients. Long weekends due to holidays are my specialty because I usually am off work and don't have plans to leave town. I like to get out and do fun things on weekends, but my all time favorite thing to do after a long week is to sit on my couch and watch TV, so that's why I believe I make a good dog sitter because likely what I'll be doing is hanging out in your house catching up on my favorite shows and spending some quality time with your pup. That also means they will get frequent potty breaks in my care and I can tend to any medicinal needs that need to be delivered frequently throughout the day. Weekends are definitely my preferred days to dog sit because I have a lot more flexibility in my schedule, but I am also available for week days, depending on how close you live to me.
