HI! My name is Canaan. I've been raising and/or taking care of dogs for over 15 years, and offer my services gladly to spend time getting to know and care for your four-legged family. I place the comfort and emotional well-being at a very high priority, and am willing to accommodate the needs of your pets–– just as you would expect a nanny to tend to the needs of your (hypothetical) child(ren). My home is one that I share with two lovely housemates and two cats. I have a system worked out with my housemates wherein the cat and dog traffic doesn't intersect, in the more-than-likely situation that the they don't get along. I love any opportunity to take dogs on runs (assuming they're in physical shape to be exercising strenuously), and tend to pamper with affection, as long as they're into it. My household is very friendly and offers two stories for visiting pets to wander, with most rooms of the house being in bounds. I consider most requests negotiable, so please feel free to message me with any requests that seem like they might not be covered on my page. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your pup!

This was our first experience with Rover and our first time leaving our boy with someone, yet alone someone we’ve never met. Who do you pick?? Well, on short notice and a few hours searching through Rover over the days we picked Canaan. He was consistently quick to respond and we quickly and easily set up a meeting. You knew he loves dogs and ours loved him. We will totally use his services again!!!
We love Canaan already! He recently watched our crazy 3 month old puppy (that is still potty training, mind you) and our pup had a great day! We were nervous as this is our first dog and it was his first day away from us, but Canaan put us at ease and asked all the right questions. I appreciated that he asked what our thoughts were on traveling with Rollo before his stay and if there was anything we were working on training-wise that he could help enforce. He sent me pictures during the day and when I went to pick Rollo up he was cuddled up with Canaan, smiling and tired (thank goodness!) Canaan's calm and gentle demeanor put us at ease and Rollo loved him. We will absolutely be reaching out to him again soon for more successful play dates!
Spike clearly felt at home with Canaan. He got plenty of exercise and Canaan kept me posted on his status ... physical and emotional! ; ). Roomy house with a small yard to sniff around in. Highly recommended.
Canaan is excellent with dogs. He loves them and they love him. I'm sure he would be a dog-owner himself right now if his busy lifestyle allowed it. But as it is, his life suffers from a certain untended dog-deficiency, one of the symptoms of which is pouring his repressed, surplus doggy-love into ensuring any encounter with a woof can be mutually positive.
