Pet care experience
As the only animal-person in my house as a child, I had to BEG for years before we got our schnauzer named Schatzi (that's 'sweetheart' in German), and she was the best gift I've ever received. I was her primary care giver until she passed away at the old age of 14. Since then, I have taken care of my sister's little rescue dog, Jax, for weeks at a time, and he loves coming over to his Auntie's house because I spoil him during our visits. I have also volunteered at the Baton Rouge Companion Animal Alliance for the last several years and fostered a few dogs from there as well. Now my partner and I have a dog of our own- Bennie. He is such a joy to us!

Cam is a dear friend of mine, and I have seen her care for many dogs. She is constantly volunteering at animal shelters and making sure the animals there get proper love and care. I know for a fact Cam will do her best to make sure your dog stays healthy and happy on their walks!!
Cameron loves dogs and has always been very caring and giving when it comes to interacting with them. She was a dog owner for most of her life so she knows how to take care of them. The dogs react to her in a positive way because they can sense that she is a good person and genuinely loves dogs. My partner, Kody, is a fellow animal lover and the only other person living in our house. We live on a quiet street within walking distance to Mill Creek Recreation Area. Our house has three bedrooms and a fenced yard.

If you plan to board with me, please bring your dog’s food and any medication they may need. I will also need this leash and dog bed. If they are not potty trained or cannot be left alone for any amount of time, please let me know beforehand.
A typical day
They will receive at least one walk per day with additional playtime at the dog park if their energy permits. We also do a lot of snuggling on the couch.

Availability
I work remotely half the week with normal office hours, but my partner is a bartender so he is here even when I’m at the office. With this schedule, your pet will be left alone for no more than two hours at a time. On my off days, I usually make art at home or try to go on little day hikes nearby. I would love to have an extra furry friend to keep me company and keep Bennie entertained. We go to the dog park almost everyday.
