Martin and I love to make friends!
Pet care experience
Throughout my life I’ve always considered myself a dog-person, before I had my own I was reading the encyclopedia of Dog before bed. Relatives gave me my first experiences with dogs and I learned the respect that is needed to maintain a healthy relationship with dogs of all sizes. Once I came to college I knew I wanted to start building a great relationship with a dog of my own so I went up to the Norman animal shelter and found my boy Martin. We had a good 4 years together as he was primarily the only dog, but we wanted to find some new friends and see if we can provide a good service for some good families. I have now been doing Rover for almost 2 years now and the bonds that Martin and I have been able to make are amazing. Having some consistent buddies that come over and spend the day, weekend, or week is always a fun time. Martin loves to meet new pups but asserts himself with lots of sniffs and posturing. Martin is a little bit vocal corrective, but he means well and always eventually tolerates the playful love that some puppies offer. Through the friends that we’ve already made I’ve been able to gather more knowledge on how to handle personalities that may not match up initially. Martin does too good of a job sometimes trying to calm the craziness, but listens when I know the play is safe.

You did so amazing! Thanks so much!!!! Will definitely be coming back when needed!
Always the best! Hedy seemed very happy after her stay and Cam sent tons of pictures of her playing and sunbathing
We were coming from out of town & needed someone to watch our dogs for the day. Cam was great from the beginning. Communication was terrific & our dogs had a great time.! Would highly recommend Cam with no hesitation!
Best sitter we have ever used!! Perfect set up and Cam is so knowledgeable about dogs. We will always use him from here on out.

I have a fenced yard with carabiners on the locks so no accidental escapes happen. I am a vigilant person, often times Martin and I have helped loose dogs in the neighborhood get back to their owners through the Neighbor app. We have a large school field next to my house with allows for free running if your dog isn’t liable to run. Martin is good with other dogs, he definitely likes to be the “alpha” or main director, but once he gets used to a dog, there is always learning and play going on.

Information Cam M. would like to know about your pet
High energy and excitability are important traits for me to understand. Being able to provide the right energy for a dog is important and necessary to ensure they’re comfortable, along with my own dog’s comfort. Severe anxieties and experience/socialization are also important factors to understand about your dog.
A typical day
Morning typically starts around 8 with an outside trip and a little play for those who want to. Most would rather eat so I generally only use the playtime for some as separation for feeding. Once everyone’s done with breakfast we head out again for the first real playtime of the day. Lasting always 30 minutes but up to a couple hours to start the day. There are very few occasions that I will allow unsupervised play for longer than 5 minutes as I just like to be around in case. After the first long play we’ll either go inside or I’ll try to allow rest for those who want it on the outside couch, most of the time depending on weather. Water is available inside and outside with frequent refills. We also will have play time with the neighbors as they love to meet new pups as well. If I need to run errands and the weather is permitting some pups are welcome to come with. In general I try to provide a home-like experience with structure and designated zones of play.

I am currently taking some time before applying to graduate school later this year so I’m takin care of pups full-time before then. This allows me to spend all my time with them other than a few errands here and there.
