Pet care experience
I grew up in a house with dogs and I have loved them ever since. In university I adopted my own dog, a rescue, who took extensive training as he had floated between a lot of homes before I adopted him. He was a fun loving energetic dog who was my best friend and favourite companion for his long life and I miss him every day, but I am so happy to have other dogs in my life to babysit. I am always looking for new dogs to add to my list of most beloved creatures and I am very capable of improving leash skills and manners if required. I found early morning dog walks were critical to keeping my dog happy and calm and I would be happy to provide the same for your doggo! Happy to take dogs for longer than half an hour and willing to turn these long walks into hikes on weekends if requested.

Calli is a wonderful sitter. We knew when we met her she would look after our dog really well. She took time to connect with our slightly shy dog who by the end of a weekend had a new best friend in Calli. We got regular updates and photos which filled us with confidence.
Calli was amazing helping my large dog adjust to living in the city after being in the country his whole life. He was an anxious guy and Calli was always calm and patient with him. She assisted me with leash training, sent me pictures and gave me updates about his progress. He definitely became more comfortable with the hustle and bustle of the city from spending time with her. I could tell that he trusted her and he was always excited when she came over. I only have positive things to say about my interactions with Calli!
Calli was an amazing find for my bigger dogs! She was very responsive and easy to coordinate with too. Would 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for someone with lots of experience with dogs!
Calli is one of the most responsible and caring people I know. She has a ton of experience with all types of animals and personally she has watched my two cats a ton. I have no stress at all when Calli is watching my pets because I know they’re in great hands. She’s a true animal lover and anyone would be lucky to have her take care of their pets.

Having looked after so many dogs in other peoples homes, I have found that the best way to make sure that peoples pets are happy and homes are safe is to ask lots of questions. By getting these details, learning about your dog’s (or cat’s) typical routine it is easier to ensure that they feel safe and supported if you are away. Knowing not only the number for the vet, and emergency plans, but also the day-to-day things that your pet is used to can prevent any undue stress while they are being cared for!

No breed preferences. I do request to know any vices the dog has. The excercise level they are used to, how they behave around other dogs and if they are good with children.
A typical day
Long walks, (fetch if the dog is able to be off leash), extensive pets and “good boys”. Time spent ensuring that good leash manners are maintained (or introduced for young, learning dogs). Generally ensuring that dog-walking is a time that your dog can enjoy and contributes positively to their health and well-being.

I am currently a graduate student who has taken time off full-time work to focus on my degree, but am looking for some additional tasks to fill my time. I am looking forward to dog waking again because I absolutely love to be active and outdoors.
