Lots of love and attention!

Pet care experience

Note that our services are currently set to AWAY for the next few months, as we have just adopted a new dog and will be allowing them to adjust before reopening our services. — I've been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, starting with my family's first dachshund, Fudge. I now take the opportunity to dog sit and play with friends' dogs whenever I can! While I grew up with a small dog, I LOVE big dogs and have lots of experience with them, particularly labs and lab mixes. I live in Adams Morgan in a 2-bedroom apartment with my husband, Adam. We recently adopted a beautiful 2-year old brindle named Mandee. While dogsitting (boarding) and with day care, I'll be going on several walks with your pup throughout the day and, if OK with you and if they can be around other dogs, taking them to a local dog park. I am usually home a lot during weekends, so they’ll get lots of attention and snuggles. Same goes for my drop-in and walk services! I am super flexible and try to keep your dog's schedule and environment close to what they are used to at home. Pups are allowed on furniture (if you allow them at home) and can sleep in the bedroom if that's what they are used to. I do typically work weekdays at my office job in Bethesda, so if your pup is staying with us on a weekday and if we can’t arrange to work from home (depends on the date), they can either stay comfy in the living room or cozy in their crate (if they are usually crated). I am more than happy to set-up a visit with your pup or answer any questions you may have. Feel free to send me a message!

Zorra had a great time with Caity and Adam over a long holiday weekend while I was traveling. They took her on long walks and to the dog park to play fetch. They were very responsive to inquiries about scheduling and sent me regular photo updates of Zorra playing or curled up comfortably in their apartment. Would highly recommend them and hope to have Zorra stay with them again!

Caity and Adam were wonderful with our dog while we were out of town for a wedding. From the photos and messages, it definitely seemed like she was comfortable with them and had a great time exploring the neighborhood. When we brought our pup home, we could tell she was happy and had been well taken care of, since she was only mildly excited to see us and was almost ready to head back into their place! Would love to use them again if there's ever a need!

Caity and Adam took care of our two pups while we were out of town for a wedding. Great experience from booking and pre-boarding visit to daily updates and easy pick up. Always kept us up-to-date with photos and it was clear our dogs had a great time with them (they received TONS of snuggles). Even helped us with one of our dogs who was dealing with seasonal allergies. Very knowledgeable about dogs. We will definitely seek out Caity and Adam again in the future. Thanks!

Information Caity & Adam R. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know how they interact with other dogs while leashed and unleashed, as well as how they will act when I first come into a home, to know what to expect when meeting and walking your pup. Always a plus to know exactly what kinds of commands you use and which work best with your pup, to be able to maintain consistency with your dog's training. For dogsitting, I'll want to know if your pup tends to get anxious when you're not around and what helps to comfort them. Please feel free to bring as many of your pup's favorite toys, blankets, and treats to be able to have an easy transition for them while you're away.

A typical day

Adam and I provide lots of love and attention and want your pup to feel like they're right at home. For the more active dogs, we love walking through new and old neighborhoods with the pups, as well as visiting local dog parks. Watching dogs socialize, play, and get all their energy out is a ton of fun. Bonus if they like to play fetch! For those pups that enjoy a more chill lifestyle, we're more than happy to hang out at home, take a few walks, and otherwise enjoy lounging with pups on the couch! We want to be flexible for our clients and make sure that drop-off and pick-up are as smooth as possible. Our drop-off time starts at 7am and pick-up ends at 8pm (although we're pretty flexible if you're traveling). We go by the 24-hour Rover clock, which means that the nightly $38 boarding rate ($43 for holidays) is for 24 hours of services. Because we provide lots of attention and interaction during the day, we have a sliding scale of additional charges if you pick-up after the 24-hour window during the day on the last day of dog boarding. For example, if you drop off your pup at 7am, the $38 boarding rate will cover through 7am the next day. After that, the sliding scale kicks in: 0-4 hours: If you pickup before 11am the next day, then no additional charge 4-8 hours: If you pickup between 11am and 3pm the next day, then $15 charge 8-12 hours: If you pickup between 3pm and 7pm the next day, then $20 charge 12+ hours: If you pickup after 7pm the next day, then I will charge either a full $29 day care rate or you can do another night of boarding for $38. I offer 15 min leniency windows, so if you're within 15 mins or so of the next time slot, then I'll charge the lower rate. We're pretty flexible, particularly for regular clients, so please let me know what works best for you!
