Pet care experience
CAITLYN I’m a Seattle native and designer that works from home--so I can care for your fur baby pretty much 24/7! I live in the Hollywood Studio District right on the edge of Larchmont and Hancock Park in a house with a big fenced yard, I'm super passionate about animals, and I have a very playful dog named Finn. I love spoiling my dog and taking him out for walks, hikes, beaches, dog parks, and puppy play dates. His huge smile, one floppy ear, wiggly butt, gummy bear bounciness, and the way he sleeps in 5 different positions just kills me. Gaaaah! Oh, and did I mention I'm also a crazy cat lady? I have extensive knowledge of dog behavior & training, and years of experience caring for dogs and cats, young and old, with special needs, and different personalities. I'm always trying to expand my knowledge to become a better dog whisperer. My husband Dan and I make a great team as well! DAN Originally from Iowa, I have been working as a marketer and graphic designer in Los Angeles for the past decade. Although Caitlyn spends the majority of the time with your pets, I try to sneak in some animal love and support whenever I can in the evenings and weekends. I've cared for dogs and cats and love spending time with both. With dogs, I enjoy teaching them tricks, playing chase and keep-away, and hiking Runyon Canyon. With cats, well, I give them attention when they want it (cuddles, brushing, and pets), leave them alone when they want their private time, or walk them outside on a leash if they demand fresh air (yes, I've done it and I'm not ashamed). From time to time, I put together cute videos and hilarious photoshops of my pet. Or your pet. Sometimes both of our pets together. And post them. #adorbs ************************************************************************** OUR HOME & YARD We live in an air conditioned duplex house on the edge of Hancock Park/Larchmont/Koreatown (called the Hollywood Studio District) with a large fenced backyard. We want all the animals to feel like family in a safe, attentive, and loving environment. Therefore, we don’t overcrowd our home with lots of dogs so we can be watchful of their play and actions. We also don't confine dogs to crates/kennels unless the owner specifies or unless absolutely necessary and for only as long as it's necessary (ex: the dog is being aggressive, bothering other dogs, is marking excessively, isn't house trained, or is destructive). We keep them mentally stimulated and physically active, and we shower them with affection!

Caitlyn was great with my dog Sammy! She was very responsive to text and I received lots of photos and video during Sammy's 3 day stay. Would definitely bring Sammy back, he definitely had a good time!
Caitlyn was so great with our Cali! They have a wonderful home and a nice back yard. Our dog has lots of energy and loves playing especially with Finn. She was well cared for and was exhausted when we picked her up!! We would definitely recommend using Caitlyn as she was very attentive and gave us great updates while we were away.

Caitlyn is the greatest sitter my dog has ever had, hands down, and he has had more than a few of them. She has a safe play yard and is vigilant about measures like keeping gates and doors closed. Gotta love the safety first attitude. But I also really love that she cares enough to be with the dogs while they play and actively correct my dog's manners when it would undoubtedly be easier to just let them do whatever as long as things don't get violent. When you speak with her about how the day went, the level of detail she can provide lets me know she was really paying attention. Every comment she makes shows she has studied up on doggie behavior and interaction. Additionally she has a great friendly dog Finn who is an excellent playmate for my high energy pup. Final proof of sitter greatness? She had my anxious dog delightedly trotting off to play with nary a look back. Amazing!

MEET-N-GREET A meet-n-greet with our dog Finn and your dog is required. We want to make sure your dog is safe, comfortable, and has a great time with us! ************************************************************************** WHAT INFO DO WE NEED ABOUT YOUR PETS? We know it's a lot of questions, but anything at all you can tell us about your pet is very important and helpful to us. We're responsible dog owners and want your pet's experience with us to be as joyful as possible and that they receive the best care. **Here's a tip: copy and paste these questions with your answers into your pet's profile and you'll never have to do it ever again! Pet sitters will love you for it! :-) - Are all shots/vaccinations/flea meds updated? This is mandatory. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. - Are they spayed/neutered? This is mandatory - Are your pets potty trained/housetrained? This is mandatory - Do they tend to mount/hump other dogs often even after you've corrected them? - Have they ever attacked or showed aggression towards dogs/people before? - Do they have separation anxiety or bark excessively? I have neighbors that work from home and my landlord will not permit me to have dogs with excessive barking. - Does your dog mark (pee) when inside a house? - Is their energy and playfulness level low, medium or high? - Do they have any special needs? Allergies? - How do they behave on walks? Do they tug? Go crazy when they see other animals? Eat things off the ground during walks? - Are they prone to escaping/jumping fences/running away? - Are they heavy chewers and like to destroy shoes, furniture, things that aren't toys? - Do they know any tricks/commands? - Do they tolerate baths? - Are they allowed to go to off leash dog parks? Beaches/Lakes? Excursions? - Anything else we should know about them? ************************************************************************** BREED RESTRICTIONS, DOGS OVER 50 LBS, PUPPIES - Unfortunately we can't accept pitbulls/amstaffs, boxers, chihuahuas and other toy breeds, puppies (under 1 year), and super submissive/timid dogs, because we've discovered that our dog does not get along with these types of dogs for some reason. Sorry! - We can't host dogs over 50 lbs usually. DOGGY DAYCARE TIME LIMITS Dogs can be held in doggy daycare for 10 hours max. Rover specifies daycare time windows to be 7-9am for drop-off/start time, and 4-6pm for pick-up/end time. Additional fees may apply for dogs who are not returned to their owners after 10 hours or if dropped-off/picked-up outside of the 7am-6pm hours. Please discuss this with me beforehand if your dog will exceed the 10 hour time limit or needs drop-off/pick-up hours outside of the 7am-6pm time window to negotiate pricing as I will try to accommodate or prorate it. *ADDITIONAL FEES **Early drop-off before 7 AM - $10 flat fee (no earlier than 6 AM) **Late pick-up exceeding 10 hrs - $8 per hour (no later than 10 pm) **************************************************************************
