I am 28 and have been on my own since I turned 18. Growing up, my family always had dogs and cats, so I was well acquainted with the responsibility of owning a pet prior to getting my own dog. I adopted my dog, Lilly, in April of 2014. She is a lab-pointer mix and I believe she was mistreated at one point. That being said, I am very understanding of dogs and animals with timid temperaments. I feel that this is very important with dog handling because not all animals are groomed for human interaction. With love and regular training, I believe I have made a significant difference in the nervous demeanor of my dog, and have enriched her lifestyle. I consistently walk my dog and maintain an active lifestyle. My apartment is only enough for the two of us on a regular basis, but I would love to have the opportunity to care for more now and again!
