I have over 10 years of experience in caring for animals. I've grown up with both dogs and cats in my home and even took my cat to college with me! While in college, I worked at the Pittsburgh Zoo caring for the animals in Kids Kingdom and spent some time volunteering at the local animal shelter. More recently, I spend my time volunteering for the Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue in MD and Furkid Rescue here in Pittsburgh. In my spare time, I enjoy training my 2 Border Collies (3yrs and 9mo). My puppy has her S.T.A.R puppy title, her Canine Good Citizen title, and an AKC Novice Tricks title. We recently began training in treibball. My older dog is a canine nosework pup!! I have experience in administering medications to both cats and dogs. My cat that was with me in college was FIV+ and I really needed to be on top of her medical needs to help her live her full life. I've also had a 16yo Border Collie that was diagnosed with lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy for 9 months, during which I would administer medications multiple times a day. I am very experienced with reactive dogs, having two in my life currently. I have worked with several trainers in the Pittsburgh area on how to keep my dogs and those around them safe. I feel comfortable handling these types of dogs, as long as the dog would be comfortable with me! I work full-time, but I get home from work at 5p during the week. My evenings are free to play with/walk your pup (or cat! I don't discriminate!). Additionally, I am free for potty breaks and walks any time during the day on most Saturdays and Sundays. I am not available to provide in-home services. I have a reactive dog that would not permit this to happen. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.
