Taking care of pets is far from foreign to me. I grew up in a home with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rodents, ferrets, snakes, and fish. In addition to our animals, my family has done Newfoundland rescue since I was very young, and I continue to foster Newfoundland dogs to this day. Eventually, my parents added farm animals to our family. These included chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, horses, llamas, and even emus. I've been providing pet sitting services to local families since 2008 and have provided care for additional animals, such as exotic birds, turtles, cows, pigs, goats, and sheep (and my clientele is always expanding). Additionally, I assist my Mom with her dog training business and have been able to attain a wide knowledge on animal behavior and motivation through helping in her classes and joining her at private training sessions. All pets require something different and they have personalities to match! There is nothing I enjoy more than throwing balls for an excited fetcher, spending some extra grooming a sophisticated feline, or feeding treats to friendly longhorn cows. In January of 2018 pet sitting became my full-time job and I love every minute of it!
