Third-year Veterinary Student

Pet care experience

I am a third-year veterinary student at Western University of Health Sciences. I got my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and Master’s Degree from the University of Florida. As you can tell, I’ve been all over and have adapted well to these very different states. I worked for 3.5 years at an animal shelter in Miami, FL (my hometown). There, I gained a lot of experience in behavior, shelter medicine, anesthesia monitoring, and how to perform a plethora of clinical procedures. While I am in vet school now, I am trying to maintain as much hands-on animal experience as I can and I would love to care for your furry friends!

Caitlin did an amazing job taking care of Dicky. Dicky has liver cancer and liver ducts obstruction and currently on palliative care. He needs to be fed 6 times a day, and medicated twice daily. Caitlin made sure our Dicky having his meal and meds on time. After Dicky vomited, she helped us to clean the mess and sent us a report regarding Dicky’s vomit. Our apartment was maintained as clean as before we left. Dicky’s litter box is clean too!! Before we hired her, we were worried nobody could take care of our sick kitty because of his frequent feeding schedule and multiple medications. Caitlin did an excellent job! We have hired 4 sitters before. She is the best best one we have ever hired. Highly recommended!

Caitlin is amazing! She is accommodating, professional and very skilled and administered fluids to my senior cat. Would give her 100 stars if I could! So glad I found her!

This was my first time using Rover and my first time having a sitter at my home to watch my dog while I was away. I was nervous at first and didn't know what to expect. However, after our meet and greet session, I felt confident and at ease knowing Caitlin would be caring for my dog. Caitlin was everything that I had hoped for in caring for my dog and my home. I can describe her as approachable, professional, reliable and dependable, respectful of my requests and my home, and took very good care of my lil' boy. I received pictures of my Caleb while I was away and she was always prompt in responding appropriately to my texts. I would definitely request Caitlin again to care for my Caleb in the event I need a sitter. Thank you Caitlin for loving my Caleb as if he were your own. There's comfort and peace in knowing he was being cared for by someone I can trust.

Caitlin was amazing. My dogs loved her and I got pictures everyday. My house was spotless when I came home. Caitlin is very easy to communicate with and took care of all my dogs needs. I felt safe leaving my fur babies with her. I will definitely rebook with her.

I have done house sitting before, and I actually really enjoy helping people out this way especially because I believe that changing an animals’ environment on top of being away from their family can create more opportunities for stress and anxiety. My goal is to keep your animals as relaxed as possible and maintain their normal routines while you’re away.

Information Caitlin R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of any special instructions that I might need to know in order to be better prepared to care for your fur babies as best as I possibly can. Some examples could be if you know of a spot that your dog does not like to be touched and vice versa, or if they are afraid of sudden movements, loud noises, or anything else you can think of that may trigger fearful behavior. Being aware of these things ahead of time will allow me to better prepare and pay close attention in order to avoid contributing to your animals’ stress levels.

A typical day

I love to make sure your animals are getting an adequate amount of daily exercise. This could be from walking and exploring outside, as well as indoor games of fetch, or training of basic commands.
