Mucky paws and wagging tails welcome 🐶

Pet care experience

After begging my parents for a dog since I could talk, they got one, Murphy, as I went to university 7 yrs ago (typical). Despite moving out now, I completely understood that your dog is part of your family (Murphy outranks my sister and I for my parents, I’m sure.. 😉) so I will endeavour to make your dog as happy as possible whilst in my care. We also recently picked up our own little fur baby, a cockapoo called Barry who already has us wrapped around his paw. We got Barry at 9 weeks and will be doing everything we can to ensure he is a well socialised, happy little guy! Especially when four-legged friends come to stay. As an animal lover, I’ve ridden horses from being 5 and had ownership of them from being the age of 10-23 but are no longer able to due to medical reasons. My partner and I currently work full time Monday-Friday but it’ll be great to assist from Friday evenings (can be earlier as I do tend to WFH on a Friday) to Sunday evenings and we’ll be able to focus on your pet and Barry entirely. This will ensure that we give your pet a “home from home” feel with all the cuddles it could want and lots of walks. We have a very private and fenced garden for the dogs to roam/play/run in. We’re also happy for the dogs to go upstairs/on the bed, as long as the dogs are well trained. They’d be allowed in every room in the house whilst we are in and will be kept in the spacious kitchen should we need to pop out to go to the shop or run a quick errand. We have a local park that can provide your pet with a nice walk, but we’re also happy to drive further afield to go on a longer walk out in the country or on a beach, so long as the owner is comfortable with us doing so and consents to this. We would always recommend a meet & greet ahead of finalising a booking to ensure that everything goes smoothly between your little one and our family!

Wow what can I say - such a blessing we have found Caitlin & Ross! Our 5 month old puppy Otis has stayed this weekend and has come back happy and exhausted. At first we had doubts leaving him at such a young age but Caitlin at our first meet was so loving we knew we had made the right decision. The regular updates and photos kept us all extremely happy, the lovely home and the activities planned just eased our minds and hearts. I am so glad we have found someone just in case we are unable to take him away with us, I have already recommended Caitlin and wouldn't hesitate to book again! I can't thank them enough for taking good care of our precious boy and giving him the love and attention he needs. Thank you x

Wilma our cockatoo puppy had a great time whilst staying over night, we can’t fault the service we received from start to finish we felt comfortable leaving her with Caitlin. Loved the photos sent through which really put our minds at ease as this was our dogs first time away from us. We would highly recommend and will use again. Thank you so much.

Safety, trust & environment

Our home is puppy safe in all ways. We have a large gate on the front of the garden and can also double this up with a secondary gate if required. The rest of the garden is very secure with high fences on all sides. The house is also very safe for dogs, with nothing dangerous within reach of little paws. Safety is our number one concern with all visiting pets so we take this very seriously.

Information Caitlin L. would like to know about your pet

I’ll need to know the below: - How your dog responds to other dogs - How your dog is with other people (men, women, children, etc…) - What their recall is like - Weather they have any special needs that need to be accounted for - All food/treats/toys would need to be provided by the owner - 2 dogs can be taken if from a single owner with prior notice - How they normally sleep (I.e in a crate, in a bed, upstairs or down, on the owners bed… - Vet and emergency contact numbers

A typical day

We love to go on long walks/hikes in the countryside, beach trips and also spend time local playing ball in the park. Also lots of indoor playtime and mental stimulation if the weather doesn’t allow the outdoor fun! However, whatever the weather we would be able to do at least 2 walks a day to ensure your dog has an opportunity to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh air. Happy for your dog to be walked in the way you’re most comfortable, I.e on a lead, long lead or off the lead. Whilst at home, there will be time for play, cuddles and for the dog to get comfy wherever they find comfortable.
