Pet care experience
I grew up in a house with two big labs whom I loved dearly. Since then, I've also come to love cats and their unique personalities! Due to work and travel, I have never had pets of my own. However, I've filled this void with caring for other people's pets. I've been pet sitting for friends in Pittsburgh for over 7 years and I'm ready to expand my circle of canine and feline friends! My experience with so many fur friends means I am intuitive to different personalities a pet can have. Your pet may be nervous to have a new person around, and I understand! I pride myself on knowing when one needs attention and when one wants space. I look forward to meeting your pet!

Caitlin is the best animal sitter I've ever had! Having 2 dogs (1 3 legged, 1 feral puppy) and 1 cat means that I have a lot of animals and home to trust Caitlin with...but everytime that I leave my animals with her, I know that they will be fed, walked, and cuddled! Even with the various difficulties that my animals present (trouble getting a leash on, trouble walking long distances, etc) Caitlin takes it all in stride. My animals adore her, and I do too. It's made travelling for work and pleasure so much easier, knowing that my animals will be well taken care of, in the safety of my own home.
Caitlin is the best! She has helped me care for dogs and cats for four years, including taking care of my own furry friend! She is responsible and very warm towards all creatures. I've always been able to count on Caitlin when I am in need or when I need to recommend another caretaker.

Is your dog well trained on a leash or do they tend to pull? Do they have any quirks I should know about? (Needs you nearby in order to eat. The cat ACTS like they want to be pet, but then they will get ya. etc) Are there any places they don't enjoy being pet? (such as ears, head, etc) Do they get along with other dogs? Or are they more introverted? Tell me all the little quirks you know about your pet that your friends without pets wouldn't understand. The more you tell me, the easier it will be when we are hanging out!
A typical day
Does your dog love fetch? Great! More of a tug of war pup? Sounds good! Does your cat love a laser? Ok! Oh, they need the feather on a string waved around and around? Let's do it! Whatever your pet needs, that's what they get. PLUS lots of pets (if they like being petted) and positive affirmations!

I am a software analyst and work from home most days. When I do have to go to the office, usually only spend half days there, so I can be flexible and drop by morning, midday, or afternoon.
