Gallatin Gateway Pet Getaway!

Pet care experience

Growing up I loved dogs more than anything. And nothing has changed with time. I spend all my spare time with my dogs and horses. I have experience with herding dogs as I have three of my own. James has more experience with hunting dogs as he has to brittanys. We have dog sat a variety of dogs around the Gallatin County. I worked at a dog and cat boarding facility in high school and college. We also worked at a local doggy daycare and boarding facility here in Bozeman as well. We like for all dogs to get to live a fun playful life in a safe happy environment. We have a fenced yard and it’s a great large area for dogs to run and play. It is however only 4ft tall in areas. We do frequently try to get out camping when we are not home dog sitting so if your dog likes camping let us know and maybe they can tag along. Every moment with animals is the best part of our days. As for what I can offer. I currently work the hours from 6am-2pm. James works later hours weather depending. He also doesn’t work mid December-March and will be home with the dog crew. I let all the dogs out when I wake up around 5am. James will let them all back out again before he leaves. I return from work around 2:30 and let everyone out to play for the evenings. We are usually home all evening and just let the dogs play outside while we do chores around the house. We do have horses and chickens but they are all fenced off from the dog yard. If your dog is well behaved they can roam the house with a few of our dogs during the day. We also have a large utility room gated off and leave our two younger dogs in there while we are gone during the day and if your dog is used to being in a kennel we have a big outdoor type kennels in our downstairs and several crates. Please feel free to message me with questions. We do ask you show up on time and let us know ASAP if your plans change. We try to be as flexible as we can but do still need to run errands and take care of life duties. We also ask that evening picks up be before 9pm. If you really need a late night pick up we can discuss it for a fee. We are early risers so we are glad to meet you in the morning to pick up or drop off your fur kiddo. Once last thing, we are not a boarding kennel! This is our house. If your dog is a consistent barker we are not the place for your dog. If your dog doesn't like other dogs we are not a good fit either. Lastly, if your dog is high stress and anxiety we aren't the place for you. The more honest you are with us the safer your dogs stay will be and the more fun we can all have. If you aren't sure please message and we can set up a trial night or day to see how it goes with you in the area.

Super responsive to queries. Updated us regularly (often with photos). After a multi-day boarding, we picked up a happy, healthy dog. Feels like it was the equivalent of a vacation for our Maddie.

Weekdays we do early morning outings in the yard. When I'm home from work we play in the yard until dinner time and then a break to eat and back outside till its time for bed. If weather isn't great we have toys and chews inside for activity when outside play isn't as much of an option.
