Pet care experience
Lover of animals of all kinds, especially dogs. So much so that I became a certified handler to work full time with detection dogs. Through this, I have developed skills and techniques to handle any size, breed, or specific need of a dog. Additionally, I have a medical background and am familiar with canine first aid. As a child I grew up with cats, dogs, and rabbits as pets. I was responsible for caring for each and all of these pets. I also cared for several of the neighbors pets when they were away for short and extended periods of time. In my adult years I have rescued, rehabbed, and trained dogs. Using positive reinforcement and reward I have corrected and trained aggressive behaviors, standard obedience, and scent detection. Currently I have an active 7 year old detection K9. He is very friendly and is great with other animals (with the exception of birds). As rapport is built with client(s), boarding may become an option.

Cait was an absolute lifesaver. She took our pup for the day and he could not have been happier. Cait was so responsive, easy to communicate/coordinate with, and was so good to our guy! Our dog was exhausted the day after from all the fun he had with Cait and Glen. Can’t say enough good things about Cait!
Cait was amazing! She took the time to come meet my dogs in advance of their walk and assured me they would cared for properly and with loves of love. I was worried about one of my leash reactive dogs being walked by someone now, but she did great with her! I highly recommend Cait :)
Caitlin is exceptional with animals! Animals of all type are automatically drawn to her. My husband and I have a menagerie of animals and there is no one else I would trust to take care of our babies. She is extremely reliable, and we can always depend on her, even on short notice because of our hectic schedule! Caitlin works as a canine handler and watching her with her own dog is amazing. The love and absolute adoration shared between the two is remarkable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Caitlin as a pet sitter. She has integrity, is reliable and has a gift with animals. Not only can you trust her with your precious babies, but you can feel confident knowing she is also extremely trustworthy.
I have known Cait for over 10 years. She has always been a true lover of animals. I have a 90lb German Shephard mix that I've trusted her to watch when I've gone away on vacations. She's been able to bring her dog over to dogsit/house sit for me and I have absolutely no hesitation with asking her to do so. My dog is like another child to me, so to be able to have someone that I trust come and watch my dog is so reassuring. I would definitely recommend Cait as a pet caregiver for any of your future needs!

Understandably a clients biggest anxiety with needing a dog walker, pet sitter, pet feeder, etc. may be having to place trust in a stranger to enter your home on top of caring for your pet. With another background in law enforcement I ensure that you can trust me to be punctual, professional, respectful, and caring both to your pet and your home and property. Currently I do not have a yard but do have a large fenced in dog run at my apartment. I am also a big fan of long walks around Long Beach. I myself take my own dog down to the beach. Clients preference of course, I can either walk or run your dog in your own yard, on the sidewalk, on the beach, or even take your dog to the dog park. Ideally I would like to do a meet and greet prior to booking however I understand that things do come up last minute. Feel free to shoot me a message to set something up. As stated before as rapport is built boarding may become an option.

Please let me know if your pet has any behavioral or temperament concerns, specific dietary needs, medical issues or concerns, specific reward style, specific hand commands, if your pet is afraid of anything. Additionally the phone number and address of your preferred veterinarian in the area in case of emergency.
A typical day
Keeping your pet engaged and physically stimulated is what I do. I am a relatively high energy human, so high energy dogs are my favorite. If your dog needs energy to exhaust I will take him/her for a run or play fetch at the dog park, go to the beach.

Availability
I am available Monday - Friday in the afternoons and evenings. I am free and available majority of weekends all day/night. Please keep in mind that this may fluctuate a bit as it is not uncommon I pick up some overtime during the week. I of course would be in contact with the client(s) to notify in the most timely manner.
