Pet People of Portales 😇✨🐶🐱

Pet care experience

Hello! We’re Ryan and Caileigh - new residents of Fort Worth after four years in Tucson, Arizona, where we met. Coincidentally, we were both raised in the Midwest where we grew up caring for animals (Ryan and his family always had dogs, while Caileigh’s parents were “cat-people”). Now we’re “mom and dad” to a dog and a cat 🐶🐱 and they are the best of friends. Ryan is highly intuitive with animals and will become your pets’ good buddy in minutes. This makes Caileigh jealous, but it’s one of many reasons she loves Ryan. Caileigh is “mother bear” - making sure the children take their allergy medicine in the morning and calls quits on roughhousing when it gets dark at night. Together we believe animals are the purest of souls who deserve lots of love and a life full of FUN! Whether your pet is trained and socialized, or still learning and is more comfortable on their own, we will be patient and accepting of where they’re at 😇💖🐶🐱🐢🐠✨ Caileigh works from home Tuesday-Saturday while Ryan works Monday-Thursday. Caileigh’s office has a view into the backyard, where she can watch the animals play. We have lots of sticks and toys to be shared for pet play-dates any day of the week. There is also always an open seat (laps and furniture included!) by the fire at night for those who need a cozy place to stay when their pet-parent(s) go out of town. Caileigh and Ryan’s “weekends” don’t have much of an overlap, so we’re able to give the animals our fullest attention Friday-Monday on our cumulative days off. We’re able to host a variety of animals with diverse needs. Our dog and cat are social beings, but understand the need for space. We have a tidy home for animals who prefer a warm, cozy indoor space. We also have a garage for animals who may not be crate trained or well socialized; our dog loves laying on the cold cement! We have a fenced-in yard if your pet likes to play with others, as ours are eager to share the space; however, they enjoy our front yard, too - and will keep an “ear up” for “suspicious activity” (😉🙃) to ensure our guests (your animal children) have a safe, stress-free environment to spend time in while their humans are away. Please ask questions! You will always be welcomed with open arms and belly rubs.

We are so happy to have found Caileigh & Ryan to take care of our little guy while we had a long day out. It was our first time leaving him with someone & I was very nervous, but Caeleigh was so sweet and communicative the whole time. She sent us so many pics! Our Peanut came home so happy and exhausted from the play time! We will definitely be reaching out again whenever we need someone to care for him. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy!!

Caileigh and Ryan were fabulous. Batman and Robin had such a good time and came back worn out from all the fun. We will definitely be using them in the future. We were nervous leaving our puppy overnight for the first time but they really eased our concerns and sent regular pictures and check ins. We are so thankful we found these two and their kitty and doggy are both so sweet too!

Excellent dog sitters! Cailiegh and Ryan took our dog in for a few days and treated him as their own. He had a great time and was well cared for. Couldn't have asked for better sitters for our fur baby. Thank you Cailiegh and Ryan!

Information Caileigh & Ryan P. would like to know about your pet

Tell us everything about your pet. We know animals are complex and care to communicate with you to ensure we’re truly the best match for yours.

A typical day

Naturally, we stick to the classics - chewing sticks, playing tug, fetching balls; if we’re lucky… “hunt” squirrels and birds. Oh, and car rides! Who doesn’t love to stick their head out the window??! However, in having recently moved to Texas, we’re having fun discovering new neighborhoods and hiking trails - dogs tend to seek out the best firewood for our evening bonfires (where they might receive a graham cracker treat?!)
