I've never met a dog I didn't love!

Pet care experience

***Not taking any requests past July 5th for the moment*** I've had a passion and love for animals ever since I started talking. I begged my parents to adopt a dog when I was 5 and now 25 years later, I've surrounded myself with animals as a profession. I've been walking and pet sitting for pet apps for 4 years and have taken care of friends' and my own pets for over 15. I have a 5 star rating with over 650 walks/sittings completed on the Wag and many more on my own and on Rover. I have experience with all ages, breeds, temperaments of dogs & cats and have worked with special needs animals as well. I am comfortable with giving medications and understand how to use all types of leads and muzzles. I have basic training skills and knowledge to help me care for even the unruliest of pups. I believe in a fear-free environment and positive reinforcement. I also have experience with small animals (rats, ferrets, rabbits, etc), and even farm animals. I'm up for anything! Pet care is my full-time job, so I am flexible with times and will be able to give your furry ones a ton of attention when I care for them. For pet sittings, I can stay overnight if that's your preference. The safety and happiness of your pet is number one and I will always personalize my care to each pet to suit their needs. I always make sure your dog is secure on their leash before a walk, check that gates and doors are closed, etc. I avoid busy roads and other dogs on walks to ensure your pup doesn't get hurt or stressed. I'm hypervigilant on walks as well and do not use headphones so I can listen to my surroundings better. I can also understand a dog's body language and see when they're stressed or agitated. I pride myself on communication, not only between me and your pet, but between me and you! If I suspect something is off about your pet, I'll let you know. I keep an eye out for medical problems as well and am more than happy to provide transport to a vet if needed. If your pet has any behavioral issues (reactive, aggressive, resource guarding, etc), please let me know. I won't ever judge an owner or a pet!

Cady is great and Stormi loves hanging out with her. I love the notes she leaves about the visit, all the communication is very appreciated. Highly recommend!

This was my first time hiring a Rover for my dog and I couldn't be happier with how it went! Cady took excellent care of my sweet girl and put my mind at ease! She even went above and beyond bringing in a few packages for me and letting me know everything was locked up safely. Would absolutely recommend and will be using her services again!

Cady is amazing! Our dog is reactive and has alot of kinks, but Cady was so great at going through all the steps we took to get them familiar with each other. She is great at following instructions and an overall very capable dog companion. There isn’t another person we’d trust more to care for our pup!

Safety, trust & environment

Keeping your pet comfortable and safe while you're away is a top priority. I like to schedule a meet and greet with owners before accepting bookings to ensure that everyone is on the same page and happy. So far, I've never met a pet that doesn't like me (which is also great for my self-esteem haha!). For the safety of your dog, any time the temp is at 90°or above I will do shorter walks (20 mins or less depending on your dog/the heat) and spend the remaining time inside with them playing. During a sitting, I will plan any walks for the cooler parts of the day and do potty breaks in between. I am happy to do simple chores when house sitting like watering plants and taking out the trash. I will respect your home and ensure that it is as clean as you left it. Dogs and cats can of course have the occasional accident in the house, but I will always let you know if this happens and will clean it up as best I can.

Information Cady M. would like to know about your pet

Communication is key! If your pet has any reactivity, behavioral issues, special needs, etc, just let me know. Most important are; 1.)Their behavior on walks. •Do they pull hard? •Do they need to be encouraged? •Do they lunge at other animals? 2.)Their behavior with people/other animals. •Are they aggressive towards men, children, etc? •Are they nervous/anxious/scared? If so, what are their triggers? •Do they get way too excited around other dogs? 3.)Any health issues/special needs. •Do they have accidents in the house sometimes? •Food allergies •Medications •Mobility issues 4.)Do they have a troubled past? It can be hard to gain the trust of a pet that was abused or neglected in the past, but I have experience and patience that'll ensure they become comfortable with me. ...and of course, anything else you think is relevant! Oh, and feel free to tell me anything funny about them as well. I love learning about weird quirks!

A typical day

Every pet is different, so a typical day is never the same for me! I do my best to cater my care to your pet's individual needs. For example, if your pet is high energy, I will fit in plenty of play time and walks. Most of the time, I'm right down on the floor with them chasing them around! I'm also happy to bring your dog to their favorite park (whether it's on foot or by car). If your pet is a lazy, I'm all about the cuddles and nap time as well. Whatever your pet is most comfortable with, I'm all for it. I send updates and quality pictures throughout the day to keep your mind at ease and hopefully bring a smile to your face!

Rover is my full time job, so my day revolves around your pet! SITTINGS- Since I have a pup of my own at home and may have a dog walk or two booked during the day, I'll be in and out a couple times a day during a sitting, but not for more than a 3-6 hours at a time. I can stay overnight with your pet if that's your preference as well. If your pet requires more constant care, I'm happy to provide this at an additional rate. DOG WALKS- I am available to walk between 6:30am-10:00pm. DROP INS- I am available between 6am-11pm. (If you're looking for a drop-in time outside of this range, still send me a message as I may be flexible depending on my schedule for the day.)
