Full-Time Dog Mom | Fenced Yard

Pet care experience

Our dogs are our world, which is why it's always so difficult to leave them behind whenever we travel. While I want our dogs to have fun when we're away, my biggest concern is always their safety and avoiding unfortunate accidents. Thankfully, we've had terrific luck finding an amazing sitter on Rover who provides us great peace of mind, and we'd love to provide that same invaluable benefit for other dog-parents. I'm home full-time, and my husband works from home most days to lend an extra hand. We have a fenced in yard, but we're happy to provide walks per owner's request. Again, our primary concern is your dog's safety and avoiding unnecessary accidents, so we feel it's best to entertain within the confines of our home and yard when possible. **Please note: a $10 fee will be added for any pick-ups or drop-offs occurring at our home outside of my normal ‘business hours’ of 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Our Dachshund Tucker spent eight great days with Bryanne. She took good care of him and gave us regular updates.

As always, Bryanne does a great job taking care of my little pup while I’m gone. She always sends lots of pictures and updates (and her pics are great quality, too!). And Ginger has a blast playing with Gertie! It’s hard to leave Ginger behind, but knowing she’s in great, loving hands makes it a little easier.

So happy to have found Bryanne! My pups were happy too when they stayed with their ‘other mom” for a few days. Pictures everyday helped me enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands!???

Information Bryanne A. would like to know about your pet

I prefer dogs be 35lbs or less, as our fencing along the marsh grass is lower than the rest of our fence. Larger breed dogs have never shown any interest in trying to jump over it due to the thick marsh grass and brush making it difficult and un-inviting, but I prefer to not take any risks. Dogs should have a well balanced (non-aggressive) temperament. They also need to be spayed or neutered, and on flea and tick preventative.

A typical day

Your dog will primarily be co-mingling with our two female french bulldogs. We do have a senior Pekingese mix, who is nearly blind, and nearly deaf, so she has her own part of the house where she can safely navigate. We also have two rescue kitties who are declawed in the front and un-phased by dogs. For some additional fun, we have a small kitty pool we temporarily set up in our back yard, as this is the only way our french bulldogs can enjoy the great outdoors during the summertime, as well as an abundance of safe toys and balls for playing fetch. Our dogs have tiny bladders, so they go out very frequently and I am always outside with them, even though our yard is fenced in (I've only ever seen friendly snakes in our yard, but this is the lowcountry, so I'm constantly on the lookout for nasty critters). Your well-mannered dog can also expect to lounge on our couch to watch TV with us, and sleep in the 'people bed' along with our own fur babies. Additionally, we have seen our fur-family members through eye surgeries, back surgeries, severe heart conditions, cancer treatment, and several minor health issues. I've done extensive feline rescue work when I was stationed in Hawaii as part of Oahu's TNR program, and volunteered at the Central Florida Zoo, Freedom-Walk Therapeutic Riding Stables, as well as the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Central Florida as an animal caretaker. Additionally, I've completed two internships at Sea World Orlando in Shamu Stadium, where I prepared meals (i.e. dozens upon dozens of buckets of fresh fish;)) for the Orcas and studied their behavior under the direction of the late Dawn Brancheau while obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a focus on behavior modification. I was previously EMT certified while serving as a medical specialist in the military, so I've had a good foundation to build upon when it comes to recognizing health concerns in animals, and understanding veterinary treatment protocols.
