Pet care experience
I've had animals surrounding me since I was small, I love being around them and learning their different personalities. I got my first dog when she was about 2 months old and trained her while being in a wheelchair. My friends say they feel guilty because their dogs aren't as trained.

I have a corgi dog of my own. She's my baby. We have 2 cats and a rabbit as well. I have an outside tie out because unfortunately we live in an HOA so we cant have a fence. When I take my dog outside i sit with her to make sure she doesnt get tangled up, and so im there incase something happens. We have people walking by constantly. We also live about a 5 minute walk from a park. I prefer to stay at my home for accessibility reasons, we live very close to a quiet park where I take my dog sometimes. If my partner isn't will me my dog rides in my lap in my powered chair, because my chair isn't a traditional power chair it is an actiontrack chair (please look it up) It's big and dangerous and I don't like moving in it while she's leashed on the ground. Once we get to the park I get my treats out of my "doggy diaper bag" and we work on off leash commands. I WILL NOT LET YOUR DOG OFF LEASH. I have a 10ft leash I will use at the park with your dog.

Let me know ahead of time if your dog needs any special care instructions, or has any allergies. I need to know if they are okay with other animals, (cats, dogs, caged animals) I prefer smaller breeds because I am not very strong anymore. Max 30lbs. I prefer to stay home because of my weakness and if I fall I have somebody to help me. I need to know what breed your dog is to know what I'm getting into. You will need to bring your dog to my house unless discussed, I do not drive.
A typical day
I'm constantly getting my dog new toys, I have puzzles to keep her little brain going, and tons of treats. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks, and seeing how excited they get when they figure it out, or working through being frustrated. My dog has more toys than she knows what to do with. She gets bark box for the next 4 months, she had pup box for her first year. I constantly have treats for training. I also have puzzles for dogs to keep them mentally stimulated. If I'm too worn out to play with toys with my dog, I will sit on the couch and play tug there, or get the laser pointer, my dog and the cats love it. (Let me know if you don't want your pet playing with it)

Pet care will end up being a full-time thing for me. Because I am disabled, I can't work a traditional job. I am home full-time. Since I wasn't born disabled, I don't qualify for disability benefits, luckily I have great support. Being disabled, doing things takes a lot of energy for me, but there's nothing I wouldn't do for my pets. I'm constantly trying to educate myself on how I can take care of my dog (or any dog for that matter) better.
