My service is for those who want someone they can trust to care for their pet/pet's and look after their property. I'm a mature man and I take pet sitting seriously (even though I have fun doing it). My philosophy is simple: 1- I answer my phone/text's promptly. 2- I do what I say I'm going to do. 3- I'll communicate with you on a daily basis. Simple as 1, 2, 3. I guarantee this will be a much better experience for your pet then the local kennel. I have several special needs clients who's owner's love the care I provide. As long as you have internet access I may not have to leave. After a few visits your pets & I will develop a bond based on trust, respect & friendship. We'll have a great time and I love it! If you have an aggressive breed or dog I'm not the guy for you. Quirkiness, anxiety or senior dogs are OK. A little about myself: My name is Bruce and I am the owner operator of "Dependable Pet Sitting" located in Cape Canaveral, Florida. I am here to help you with your pets when you are unable to. Out of town on business? Going on vacation? Unexpected emergency? I can help. I am a 401k administrator for a west coast pension company. I work from home. About 15 years ago my dog Curly whom I adopted from W.A.R.F. in Lake Tahoe passed away. To fill the emptiness in my heart I volunteered at the Humane Society in Myers, CA. I spent the summer scraping and painting their buildings free of charge. I posted a couple before and after photo's. There I met a troubled dog named Blue. Blue was a beagle mix that had been abused and was having a hard time finding a new home as she was.... well she didn't trust people and you were more likely to be bit then licked. By the end of the summer we had become friends and I adopted her. I got married and my wife had two adopted dogs and we became a family. Those three dogs Blue, Casey and Jack all lived long lives. I want to tell you a little about Jack so you can better understand my love for animals and the lengths I'll go to care for them. Jack couldn't hold down food anymore so on a visit to Carson Veterinary Hospital one of the vets suggested I blend his food into a liquid and see if he could hold that down. Well that worked but because he could only hold down small amounts at a time I fed him eight times a day for eight months. It was hard to do anything else as he needed constant care. I loved him so much I hardly left the house. He seemed happy. He could still walk, go outside to potty and even play now and then. So I kept going until he passed away in December 2013. He had a great life and of course I miss him. He lived 14 happy years. This is why, my promise to you "to care for your pet as if they were mine" means so much to me. I love the animals and taking care of yours would be my honor! If I sound like somebody who you would trust to care for your pets give me a call & I'll come by for a visit for an hour or so & we can go from there. Rates will vary depending on number of pets, special needs, medications and holidays. I require you to have enough food & treats for the visit. I'll bring my own food & beverages. I'll want access to the bathroom/shower, kitchen & living room plus use of your internet, television & air conditioner. Sorry, NO aggressive dogs or breeds.
