I have grown up around dogs my whole life and love them with a passion! I have 2 of my own; one imperial shih-tzu and one normal sized shih-tzu. I've also had experience with larger dogs; labs and pit bulls, so I am very comfortable with all breeds. I just recently raised my own puppy from the age of 5 months so I am comfortable with all ages of dogs and know how to care for them. I've never cared for dogs professionally but from having dogs my whole life I know how to care for them and am very comfortable around them! I have a very open schedule both in the summer and fall so I would have no problem with long hours/short notice.
